Snowing in Disneyland!

That happened a few years ago in Phoenix. They said it wasn’t actually snow, but it looked like snow and we got enough of it to make snow angels in the driveway. It was fun.

I kept the boots and winter coat I acquired during my 4 years in VA. You can never be too prepared. 😆
Yeah, I‘m just gonna pretend they were “lost in the move” … along with many other things I over purged! Lol

I was at DL Dec 2021 during a winter storm. I noticed all the locals were smart and wore their ski jackets and after ski boots. I was freezing. The lines aren't inside like they are at WDW. FYI to anyone going to DL in the Winter and rain is in the forecast take rain gear and warm clothes.

Even with gear, you may get soaked! My sister and I had rain boots, rain pants, and full-length rain ponchos/coats with hoods. We'd seen weather reports of a huge storm expected during our trip so we shopped the night before we flew down. The storm hit before our first day and it was a doozy! We were heading from GCH to the DLH for our afternoon tea reservation, fully decked out, but the wind was freakish and the rain torrential. We got completely soaked in spite of our gear. On the plus side, Christmas-themed afternoon tea at DLH was worth the trouble!

BTW, before we arrived in Anaheim, Main St flooded and there were ducks swimming in the hub :D

Luckily we were staying at the Disneyland hotel. We went back to hotel around 2pm and sat in the hot tub for an hour to recover from our hypothermia. The rain stopped around 5pm and we were able to enjoy the evening. I would not stay far from the parks that time of year if rain is in the forecast.

Even at WDW in the Summer you can get cold when you're soaked and have to walk into a building with AC. I love rain when I'm inside or on a covered patio or balcony watching it. I'm not a big fan of getting wet.

I live in Buffalo, NY. Trust me, graupeling is totally a word.

I'm coming out to DL next January and if it snows while I'm there, I'm going to file a protest. My rule is to always go some place where it is warmer than home.

I’m pretty sure it’s still warmer. I spent a few hours yesterday near LAX and nothing fallin from the sky. No rain, no snow, and no graupel.

I live just south of LAX and we had about a 10 minute period around 2pm that it hailed yesterday. This was around the same time the graupel reports came in.

I was on my way from Manhattan Beach to Santa Monica through LAX. It was really windy though. Thought of maybe going to Downtown Disney but I wanted to try something different.

You probably missed it. I know it hailed/rained for a bit in North RB/MB around the time it hailed by me. It was also bright and sunny at the same time in DTLA. This came through super quickly.

The storm blew in between 1:30 and 2pm. But LAX may have been a bit too far west. We got the graupel in Irvine around 2:20pm.

Palm Springs this morning…This has been by far our coldest winter in the eight years since we purchased our home out here. Yesterday we had snow, rain and hail in the area. Crazy…
