I'm hoping for the same thing one day this week. DH just called and said ice tonight then 6-10 inches. It will take alot for a snow day because my kids have MEAP this week.
But I'm already thinking...ok, work on my book and get the kids outside for some snow shots!!!
I have a prior date with Leslie Sansone and my exercise DVD and then hit the shower -- hit my new scrapbook desk!
woo hoo!!!
My DDs both have colds and i'm hesitant about them playing in the snow today -- but I want pictures!! Would I be a bad mom if I jeopardize their health for my scrapbook?? I know you all understand!
A school about 30 minutes is sending kids home at noon so maybe there is hope for tomorrow.
WendyZ, I think we live near each other so maybe we will get the same 6-10 inches. One can only hope, but I doubt they will cancel unless it is really bad.
Guess the decision makers decided it was really bad! And Wed driving home from campus was awful.
We cancelled classes beginning at noon Wed and all of the day classes Thur. We're back to "normal" for Thur night. Although the lake effect kicked in around 2:30 pretty heavy.
How is it in Zeeland this afternoon Sue?
Are we turning into weather wimps though? I remember back when I was in high school and college it took a LOT more snow to cancel. Or maybe it just seemed that way. I've got to say though, when our superintendent cancelled last week Thursday because it was "cold" (7 degree with a -10 wind chill) most people thought he'd lost his mind. It is January in Michigan for gosh sakes!
Well after two snow days...I have nothing scrapped! I did sew some curtains and a table runner today. Also got outside with the kids for some snow pics. Maybe this weekend I can hit my scrapbook.
HI WDWMom....I'll have to check and see where Zeeland is. I have heard of it but never been there. Nice to meet a neighbor!!
Deb...I remember as a kids I lived for snow days. It would be up to my knees. Now..it's just cold! I'm a weather wimp for sure. The only thing I come out for is skiing. But if it's toooooo cold you can forget that too!!!
Nope - not papers or finals, although they are a regular fact of life.
Work has been insane - we transitioned to a new curriculum and from quarters to semesters at the start of the academic year. And our jobs have been "rewritten" radically. All of which makes living just a bit more complicated.
Ok, just wanted to check back in quickly before I take off for the evening. They upped the security level on our computer system because of the latest viruses so I'm not getting notifications. Bummer. Harder to keep up with the threads I've posted in.
