Snow!

I am really hoping for a snow day tomorrow! Please help me dance for the snow day granting higher powers. I would love a day off to study for an exam!!! I have evening clinical, and the snow is supposed to start around noon! If they dont cancel, I will get stuck there!

Sorry...no sympathy here for more snow. I am sick of it. I'll do a hope you do good on the exam dance however! But maybe you should have not have hoped for a snow day to study more...

I will study for you, go to your evening clinical and gladly get stuck there for you if you trade snow day places with me...
My kids are stir crazy, bickering one minute, screaming crying the next, and then laughing two minutes later like they're best buds after making my blood pressure go through the roof. DH is away someplace warm for work while we get to shovel the driveway for the millionth time. Kids are supposed to be helping but more watching (me) than working. Threatening to take away tv and video games doesn't help, they've burnt out on that! They're even tired of hot chocolate! Is it spring yet?

Good luck with your studying! I hope you get your snow day and for my sanity, please pray we don't get another one here.

Sorry, no sympathy here. Spent the weekend with 35-40 employees at the health care facility I manage. And we are looking for the same tonight and tomorrow. Everyone is tired, grumpy, but keep plugging away for the 200 patients in our care.

So no...I won't do a snow dance for someone who did not have the fore thought to study in advance I'M SICK OF SNOW!!!

Actually, MOM, my test is not for two weeks, I just thought it would be nice to have a whole day inside to study without having to fit in the studying before and after work as I normally do (are you sure you are not my mother, for real?) Thank you for the good exam grade dance though, I will take it!

OhioDisLover-I am a nursing student, I will come help! We love to shadow the nurses and help out when they let us.

Minnie-Hang in there I will do the *NO SNOW* dance for you Ohio-ians since it appears you have had plenty! DO your kids like to bake? Have them make something that requires decorating, like cookies or cupcakes, that might keep em busy for at least a few hours!

I will do a snow dance for you as well as one for myself

I love it when it snows and welcome a nice snow shower. Knowing that it won't stick, we would get less than 2" and it would be in the 50's a couple days later helps

At the school where I used to work, kids were supposed to wear their pajamas to bed backwards and throw a few ice cubes in the toilet to guarantee no school.

Anyone have other surefire strategies to get a snow day?

ahhh...you must be in MA too. My kids were released from school early today, my meeting for this afternoon was cancelled and still no snow!! I called out of work tonight due to the "snow" now I just look silly

I am in Mass! I want to be a weatherman, and just guess for a living. It is lovely being home though! Love it!

Snow day #2 here today. But it did finally stop snowing so now when I shovel it will stay shoveled. Went out 4 times yesterday and finally had DS and his friend go out 2 more times.
