Snow-Wigd and the Christmas Elves, a December pre-trip!

Love your ornaments! I have some "vintage" from when I was a child! :rotfl: My grandmother used to give me an ornament a year and for quite a few years I had some Disney (early 70's ;)) :santa:
Last year I got a gaggle of those felt elves...usually red or green bodies with their legs crossed and plastic faces...if you know what I mean? They are really quite old too...I had some from my Nana and I was looking around one day and saw a mix of them...they are kind of creepy looking but I like them!

Tracy

I had those when I was growing up!

Wigd: the shirts and sweatshirts are so cute! The ornaments are cool! You'll have to show a picture of them on the tree.

Hi Tracy, I'd love to see a picture of your ornaments when you take they out to decorate! Feel free to post it here! I just love vintage things, even when I was much younger I loved old stuff! I know exactly what you are talking about with the elves, I love them too! I also really like Annalee figures! The elves that will come and visit my students are made by Annalee.

I was checking out ebay and found another set of Disney ornaments, they were Peter Pan, came in a box just like mine with a different label. The starting bid is $220.00!
So I did some digging in the box under the tissue paper and found a certificate of authenticity. It also states that this is a limited edition of 1,500 sets to commemorate the 75th Christmas of Walt Disney's Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
I think I got quite a bargain on this awesome set of ornaments.
Gosh I wish that Peter Pan set wasn't so expensive...

I will, as soon as I get the tree up, I'll take a picture!

Your ornament are really neat! What a cool thing to find! And OMgoodness you got those shirts for 1.50/2.50??!! WOW! :thumbsup2 UBER score!

So cute, girlie clothes!

:goodvibes

Those are amazing ornaments.

I love Harper's new clothes! They are so adorable. I bet she is one of the best dressed little girls EVER!

It was almost like they were giving away Disney magic for free that day at WalMart....
The ornaments are amazingly cool, I just love em!

Okay, I am not a total Disney Freak, but I am a bummed out Christmas trip vacationer right now :sad2:

So I just stumbled upon a thread talking about the Lights of Winter that is at Epcot? The big archways from Futureland to the WS? Well apparently they are not installing these this Christmas. I was really really looking forward to seeing this! What a drag! Do you know what I am talking about? the arches that "dance" to music, etc.? There are lots complaining about it on a DIS thread, and then on the Disney blog... :sad1: Big bummer...

I just can't get over how much I like those ornaments, and what a good deal I got on them. I guess the set originally sold for $79.99, I got them on ebay for $29.00 plus shipping.
I'm getting more excited than ever to head to Disney after pulling out the WalMart bag filled with cute tops for her.
:goodvibes

We are officially in the 30's today, 39 days to be exact.
In LL terms, 5 more Mondays.
Not that the trip didn't seem real before but Megan, Marc and I sat down and placed our order with Garden Grocer this evening.
Yep, we're going to Disney next month...
:santa:

This is exciting!!!!, despite the news about Lights of Winter... :sad2:

So I just stumbled upon a thread talking about the Wonder of Lights that is at Epcot? The big archways from Futureland to the WS? Well apparently they are not installing these this Christmas. I was really really looking forward to seeing this! What a drag! Do you know what I am talking about? the arches that "dance" to music, etc.? I just mentioned this to Marc and he knew exactly what you were talking about. He said they are changing them to LED lights. He read about it on the Mouse Owners website.
I didn't know anything about it...
Not sure I want to know what I'm missing.
Don't be sad. We are going to see some glorious sights!
It's going to be a fabulous trip!

So being behind a few pages, I saw that you did some shopping and got a tad bit jealous that you did all the fun Disney shopping on your day off .... but instead you just had time to post and share, but I love love love your finds! Harper will be just too cute in her holiday gear at Disney.

Love the ornaments. We have a Disney tree too!

Seriously I hope you enjoyed your day off! It has been a long stretch since Aug 21 for us!

I'm very curious about these lights, I might just have to look them up....
.:rolleyes1

Well there apparently is a lot of negative energy about it b/c there isn't any other big light spectacle other than the Osbourne lights, and if they were going to change stuff they had all year to do it, and Disney didn't say anything about these lights not going up UNTIL they received a fury of email inquiries, and their one line response was rather dismissive. Sad!!! If you look on Youtube you can see it -- I have seen the photos enough, so I was really excited to enjoy this on Xmas Eve! Yeah we will still have lots of great things to see, but this was something I was looking forward to!

I can't imagine having so many days without a break of any kind.
We really had a nice relaxing day. Did some shopping and some DISing. We also watched Harper this afternoon and evening while Megan was in class. She took a 2 hour nap so it was almost like we really didn't have her.
I had almost forgotten about those tops we bought last year, then I found the bag and was ohhhh so excited!
Just saw your post on MeMom's thread. I'll be watching for a new ticker in you siggie very soon.

Now that was not a very good way to handle it on Disney's part....
If they were going to switch over the lights it could have been done some other time besides Christmas. Actually I don't understand why they don't make some Disney magic and get them up and going!
I'm going to youtube and will probably get myself good and mad...

Just looked on youtube. Those lights were incredibly cool. Very sorry we will be missing it this year.....:sad2:
I guess that's a reason to go back next year for Christmas...
:rolleyes1

those are awesome! They look very vintage!

They really are awesome...absolutely darling...:goodvibes

Anita-I was going to tease you that it's just that enabling attitude-about them giving away Dis Magic for free...that gets us all into trouble...;) ...:lmao:...but for those prices...they really were giving them away...:confused3...too cute...

(you are quite the Disney shopper...you are performing a community service by letting us know when you see this stuff hit the stores...:thumbsup2)

Thank you Patricia, I can't wait for Marc to read this, maybe he'll realize what a valuable service I'm providing....
Not that any of those items were expensive to begin with, but all of that for around $13 is insane!

I hadn't heard about the lights at Epcot! I'm so bummed!!!! I REALLY wanted to see those. :sad2:

Very cute shirts from Wal*Mart!! And big score on the price. :thumbsup2

LOVE those Mickey ornaments, and another big score on the price! Wow!!! :yay:

I need to get my act together and get our meals planned and the food ordered as well. We are doing most of our food in the room this trip, so it'll be a BIG order.
