Snow-Wigd and the Christmas Elves, a December pre-trip!

Your mantel looks quite like mine. Donald and Daisy, Mickey and Minnie, (the Tinkerbelle is one of the girls upstairs) and I have a snowman with a cutout middle with the gang in it and music and a snowman with Mickey and Minnie on it.

And I love the tree. We have a tree issue right now... Emily must be allergic to our "we went out and cut" tree. So we might have to toss ours out and go buy a big one (which means de- decorating).

Love the monorail too... we have the WDW train, but it is set up in another room not around the tree. It would never survive Luke and Em around the tree.

We need to plan!
I think we need to have a ginormous DISmeet!
Then make it a yearly tradition because we need LL to be with us!

We will hopefully be at WDW in mid-December 2010 as well! It is the current plan, if the finances come through, we'll be there! I would LOVE to meet all you ladies, and what a magical mega-DIS meet that would be with all the Christmas decor. :goodvibes

I have hit the same debate that you are hitting about the resort. I really want to stay at Kidani, being it's new and "home"; however, with the crowds and our large slow moving group, a monorail or Epcot resort would have been more ideal. But, we are just going to roll with it-enjoy the moments we have together and what we can accomplish. The AKL decorations are always breathtaking too!

Your Christmas decorations look great!!

Okay I'm caught up!

Some talk of bags of some sort...Frill?

A party..bowling.

A cake..jayhawks.

Wishing for a resort change...BCV anyone.:thumbsup2

Looks like you're sticking with Kidani.

Talk of future trips? Xmas 2010?

how about 2012? check my siggie!! for my 50th b-day.

Love your Christmas tree and your mantle Anita...very very nice!!!! Really have to start getting on the ball here and get my decorations up...its December now LOL!!!

WHICH MEANS....YOU ARE GOING TO DISNEY THIS MONTH!!! WOOT!!!!!! YAY!!!!!! :cool1::cool1: So excited for you!!!!!!!

OOOH...no D23 goodies yet...well trust me definitely worth the wait!!!!

Have a great Tuesday!!

Awesome fireplace! Love it.:cool1:

Pop has several of those silver trees in the food court windows. It's fun to see them, as I remember having one sometime in my past. We had the rotating color wheel, too. Brings a smile to my face! :)

Must make you feel pretty special to be an official member of the Disney fan community. :thumbsup2 I'm letting Jill decide if she wants that or something else for Christmas. She hasn't decided yet. She wants to research D23 a little more, but I told her she is running out of time if she wants to be a charter member.

We're watching Mr. Grinch too! Shhh, don't tell my kids' teachers that I'm letting them stay up late to watch Christmas specials tonight. :rolleyes1

I let Hannah stay up for this too! I felt kind of bad about it because she didn't sleep good on Sunday night (guess it was nerves about school the next day) and she really needed to go to bed a bit earlier than her 8:00 bedtime. But, it was nice snuggling with her on the couch watching a show that I loved when I was her age. She wasn't happy about not being able to stay up to watch Shrek! LOL We've got that on DVD so she can watch it anytime. My DVR is working overtime recording all these holiday shows!

Wigd: Love the mantle and the tree! I had to help my Mom get her Christmas stuff down yesterday and then got roped in to helping her decorate. I was a nervous wreck by the time it was over! Bad thing is, I'm just like her in that I want things placed a certain way or to look a certain way! I started my decorating after Hannah got home from school. I don't have any outside decorations but I did put a strand of lights around the front window/door. I collect nutcrackers and got my nutcracker collection out. After that I called it a night! LOL We have Alison this weekend so we'll be getting our tree on Saturday. Can't wait!

I let mine stay up for the Grinch and Shrek. Their normal bedtime is 8:30. They probably should have gone to bed earlier because they'd stayed up late all Thanksgiving break and weren't in their normal routine, but I just couldn't say no! ;)

Sorry about the lack of discounts at Pop LL....

Thanks Jordan!

Love your Christmas decorations, Wigd! Very cute. I love the Jim Shore pieces. I need to get me some of those. :rotfl2:

So we've got December 2010.

December 2011...don't forget that!

Then Peep Fest in 2012...which is May? June?

Great decorations!! So much fun. Your mantle is just gorgeous - LOVE IT!

Absolutely lovely mantle and tree decorations! :santa:

I almost wish Jordan wasn't caught up already, I was rather enjoying his "catching up commentary"

Woo hoo Disney trip month!! :yay::woohoo::banana::hyper::dancer:

Tracy

Hmmmmm, and we don't know anyone that would do any of those things do we?!?
;)

Uh, I hope not!!!! Pass up Le Cellier?! APs and one trip??!! Who does or has done that??!! I hope they learned their lesson!!! :)

Okay, I am NOW all caught up.... VERY cute photos!!!!! YOU are WAY ahead of me in the Christmas planning! You have been a busy beaver!!!! okay back to it. I owe you all an update! I got one! :thumbsup2 I did take some photos, and have another list or two to share :)

:santa:

I really like that snowman that you have. The next time a see it, I will probably add it to my collection.
We have a store here called Nifty Fifty. The Jim Shore pieces are all 50% off. That makes them quite affordable!

And I love the tree. We have a tree issue right now... Emily must be allergic to our "we went out and cut" tree. So we might have to toss ours out and go buy a big one (which means de- decorating).
Oh noooo and the tree issue and the hassle of redecorating another one. For me it would be fun the first time around but to have to do it again.....

Love the monorail too... we have the WDW train, but it is set up in another room not around the tree. It would never survive Luke and Em around the tree.
So how do you keep Luke from taking everything within his reach off of the tree? I'm thinking it's going to be a battle the next time Harper visits.

Sorry about the lack of discounts at Pop LL....
Me too!

I'm sure we will end up at Kidani, so next Christmas, I'll try for Beach Club.

Your Christmas decorations look great!!

Thank you!

Okay I'm caught up!
Whew, with no time to spare!

Some talk of bags of some sort...Frill
The whole bag thing was CP and LL's fault! Frill is correct.....

A party..bowling.
Correct!

A cake..jayhawks.
Rock Chalk Jayhawk Go KU!

Wishing for a resort change...BCV anyone.:thumbsup2
Well since I can't seem to get a call in to DVC when they are open, I think we will stick with Kidani!

Looks like you're sticking with Kidani.
Looks like it.....

Talk of future trips? Xmas 2010?
YES! I'm hoping for an annual Christmas trip!

how about 2012? check my siggie!! for my 50th b-day.
According to your siggie, it's June? What dates are you thinking, we go every June!

Love your Christmas tree and your mantle Anita...very very nice!!!! Really have to start getting on the ball here and get my decorations up...its December now LOL!!!

So excited about the trip! 19 days to be exact! Thanks on the Decorations! It was fun doing something a little out of the ordinary. It should be easy to take down too.....
I love the monorail around the tree!!! Such a great Disney touch!
I was happy to have something to do with the monorail. Baylor just HAD to have it a couple of years ago. He played with it once and then back in the box.....
Awesome fireplace! Love it.

Pop has several of those silver trees in the food court windows. It's fun to see them, as I remember having one sometime in my past. We had the rotating color wheel, too. Brings a smile to my face! :)
I have the color wheel too, I just didn't get it in the picture. It even works! I can remember watching that tree turn colors when I was little...

She wants to research D23 a little more, but I told her she is running out of time if she wants to be a charter member.
I think it's pretty neat to be a D23 member. I'm sure Jill will make a wise decision...
She's a smart girl!
:goodvibes

Luckily for us the shows ended early. We are in the central time zone. Our DVR is busy too!

I need to take a tree to my mother this coming weekend. She wants one that is pre-lit. I hope to find a fiber optic one, she will like that.
Our neighborhood goes all out with the lights and such. We even have tour buses come through.
Since we have been getting ready for the trip, we have done nothing. I guess we are the bah humbugs this year.....

I'm not forgetting our Christmas date in 2011, I look forward to that!
Awaiting Jordan's dates for peep fest as well....
AND October, well, I hope to go then too!

Great decorations!! So much fun. Your mantle is just gorgeous - LOVE IT!
Thank you Katie!

Thanks Tracy! I just took the Jim Shore pieces out of my China Hutch, it was super easy to decorate this year!
Isn't Jordan a hoot? Now I have to get caught up on his PTR only it's way longer than this!

Wellllll, I think LL may be the guilty party on the Le Cellier part. She made it but was way late.....
Right Leslie? ;)

I'll be heading to your thread next!

Has Shocker got a fire going in that fireplace this evening? I'm ready to lay right there on the floor in front of it with a couple of big blankets and fall fast asleep. :thumbsup2 Last night was long and rough, and tonight I've been crying. Now it is time for sleep!

I got your envelope today. I haven't checked the mail since Friday, so it may have been there a day or two. Once we get a little more settled after helping my student's family get things in place, we'll get on the letter writing. Would it be good for us to write as soon as we get back from the break? That way my kids could have some exciting things to share. We could start on the telling about themselves part before Christmas, and then we they get back, they could add a second paragraph sharing what they got and did. Or would you rather your students get letters before the break? If so, what is your last day at school? I'll let you decide.

Our new house has no mantel-we decoarated a book shelf. And the stockings were hung by the BOOKSHELF??? with casre. Pffff. Oy.
Love the monorail around the tree.

LL Dhsaid last night we could go in Dec 2011!!!

WOO HOO for more 2011-ers.

And just because you are late for a Le Cellier ADR...doesn't mean you missed it. :rolleyes1 :lmao:

No fire in the hearth tonight...
We need to get a stack of wood moved up closer to the house though. The weather is supposed to get much colder around here and a fire will feel so nice.
I'm so sorry about your student. It's hard for us to see our kids go through such tough times. He is lucky to have such a kind hearted teacher!

The students were just asking today if I knew if you all had received the letters. They are beyond excited about having pen pals!
As far as writing to us. Do what fits into your schedule. I know how busy things are this time of year.
You think you have it all worked out then another email comes and it's another assembly....
Our Christmas elves arrive from the North Pole a week from Thursday so they will be quite excited about that until the Christmas break. The kids last day is the 17th and we have a work day on the 18th.
Baylor has a basketball tournament on the 19th and we leave at the crack of dawn on the 20th......

I'm sure your mantle is adorable! Especially with the stocking hanging from it.:goodvibes
Yay, I'm glad you will be going in Dec. 2011! We have to make sure we are there at the same time.
