Snow White & the 7 Dwarfs are Set Loose! ~ (NEW RING PICS & LINK TO TR!! 7/1!)

I just read your whole pre-trip report and We have a lot in common!

I too am a teacher, although I get the feeling that you are going into elementary. I am secondary English

I too am IN LOVE with my midwest Basketball team The Pistons (sorry we beat the Bulls, but you guys got Ben Wallace! and it was a SUPER fun series! I REALLY felt the we should be playing the Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals- It just wasn't fair to either team. The Pistons and the Bulls are clearly the best in the East)

I am also (obviously) in love with the Mouse!

I think your plans are awesome and creative, and I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip!

I just read your whole PTR today and it's great. The way you ar with the Bulls, sounds like me with my hockey. DH usually will sit on the other side of the room from me when we are watching a Flyers game, expecailly after this year:sad2:
You are getting closer and closer. We don't go until August and I am counting down. DH keeps telling me to get a life:confused3

I would love it if you could send me your presentations... i told you I was going to steal some ideas... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Your DH sounds a lot like my DBF! *Although he does secretly like the countdowns* Thank you for understanding my unhealthy Bulls obsession :rotfl2: because I think DBF does not. Thanks for reading!!

Wow we do have a lot in common! Hats off to you for being in secondary ed! I could never do it!! And may I say that I have never met such a nice Pistons fan! I find they are usually very mean :lmao: but this is not the case with you, you seem very friendly. See how great the DIS is? It can bring Bulls and Pistons fans together! Thanks so much for reading.

Great trip report so far!! Your trip is getting close! :thumbsup2

It sounds like fun to go with extended family - we're hoping to do that someday, too. :)
Hi! Going with a big group is really fun, I hope you get to try it sometime! I gotta go and get all caught up with your TR because I see you have new updates! :thumbsup2

 :cheer2: :yay: 22 DAYS!!! :cheer2: :yay:

Well the anxiety is setting in...Realizing we only have 22 days left until we leave I came to the awful realization that I do not enough spending money! OH THE HORROR! :scared1: Where did all of my money go? Oh yeah...clothes, school (education majors have to shell out a lot of cash to make/teach intriguing lessons!), more clothes, car maintainence, and Bulls games (DBF likes to remind of this constantly!).

:offtopic: DBF and I like to search for our Bulls tickets on Ebay. Well, during the playoffs, I had the urge to go to another playoff game (we had already been to 1, obsessed, I know :rolleyes1 ) so I hopped on Ebay and low and behold there were 2 tickets, center court, CLUB level (where you get a waiter and everything and treat you all VIP like, not that we are VIP material,
I belong in the nosebleed section with the real obnoxious fans). Anyways, these tickets were dirt cheap so I clicked the coveted "Buy it Now" button, confirmed it and got all giddy! Once my excitement subsided I noticed that the dirt cheap price of the tickets was actually for one ticket and I am way too suburban to be going into the city of Chicago alone. So we
contacted the seller, told him our sticky situation, but given that the game was the next day there was nothing he could do. I tried reselling it on EBAY, but selling 1 ticket is hard to do, unless you stupid fanatic like me who doesnt look at the number of tickets before buying. I paid DBF the money (since it was his account) and apologized profousley. But since he is the best DBF in the world, he surprised with 2 cheaper tickets in the nosebleed sections because he saw how bummed I was  . However, he still likes to remind me of my little goof up and I am now not allowed to shop under his Ebay account, especially for Bulls tickets.

Okay, I am sorry that was long...Back to my not enough spending money dilemma, I was crunching numbers yesterday and became sorta discouraged because in past years I have had enough money to not really have to watch my spending, this year will be different though...I need to monitor myself. But then I think....Oh but how can I monitor myself when there are so many new Cinderella collectibles which I do not own yet which are just yearning to be bought!?

 Then it occured to me...the credit card.

I will just have to pay off my Disney shopping in installments, afterall I will have all summer when we return to pay it off. I will try and monitor myself though, we'll see how that goes.

So in other Disney Pre Trip Reporting related news, I recently found out via the DIS that guests can now obtain Anniversary buttons at Guest Services of any of the parks. (Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the Guest Services of MK in City Hall?) Once I found the news that we could wear buttons I emailed DBF instantly at work and asked him if he would wear it on our Annivesary day, June 19th. And he agreed! I AM SO EXCITED! I always wanted to wear one of those special buttons! (I swear the littlest things make me happiest) I know we arent married and the buttons are probably reserved for people who celebrate their wedding anniversaries,:bride: but we have been dating for what will be 5 years and let's face it, that is a long time, just ask DBF :rotfl2: We usually make our anniversary out to be a big deal, I think we just secretly like another day for presents! I have a picture of what the buttons look like and there is nothing on them to suggest that they are only for married couples, they are pretty generic and I guess can be worn by people who are celebrating their dating anniversary. And if not, we shall pretend we are married (yeah DBF will love that) I will stick my promise ring on my left hand and call him my husband!

DBF really needs to get with it and just propose to me already. Feel free to send him PM's (PrinceCharming16) reminding him that we have been dating 5 years and he did promise to marry me one day. :rotfl2:

See...Mickey and Minnie look like they are celebrating a Dating anniversary to me!

Well that is all for now, oh before I forget, I actually stumped DBF with his character countdown yesterday. It was Tigger for 23 days. The clues I gave him were: I definetly can be found in a Kingdom, (meaning Magic Kingdom) I definetly can be found in a Palace, (meaning Crystal Palace) and I have tendency to not sit still (He bounces) . HE GOT IT WRONG! FINALLY!

cliptiggerhappy3.gif

As if that wasnt good enough, he got today's character wrong too! I thought today's was easy, but he didn't. Give it a try...
Here are your clues...
I live in a forest
I am brown
I have many forest friends.

clipbambi51.gif
Bambi was character for 22 days!

Did you guess it? It wasn't that hard, but I guess it could be applied to many of Disney's forest animals, except DBF didn't guess an animal, he thought it was Pocahontas. :rotfl2: I could see why he would think so, but cmon, I would call her Native American and not brown! (Please do not take offense we are not racist!) He had to know I was talking about an animal...silly DBF. :sad2:

Anyways, enough of my rambling, I need to go repack the suticase and pay a visit to our outdoor cat, she had kittens today! We live on 6 acres of land and she has a lot of room to roam, take care of any of rodents, and apprently get pregnant. There I go rambling again, talk to you all soon!

:thumbsup2 Oh gosh I just love your enthusiasm and energy! Great TR and I am really enjoying your pictures and ideas! :thumbsup2

 Maybe DBF will propose this year?! Men are funny about that kinda thing.:confused3 I can't quite figure the whole commitment and men thing yet. In fact those two words dont belong in the same sentence in my experience. :rolleyes1

You'll have to PM me for more details...but anywho....time is flying and our vacations are almost upon us. :yay: We are truly BLESSED to be able to go!

Hi! I just found your pre-trip report yesterday, and I've spent my morning/ early afternoon reading it off and on. I love all the details you include! I'm sure your trip report will be crammed full of stuff and sure to satisfy! :woohoo: Had to subscribe.

I do have a lot of energy lately since school has been over, and I guess I just channel that energy into Disney planning! :hyper2:

I wish DBF would propose this year, but I will not get my hopes up because I am just glad to be celebrating our anniversary at our favorite place in world! But hey, if it were to happen, I would not complain! :rotfl2:

Thanks for finding & subscribing to my pre trippie! Don't be fooled by all the details, it is only because I do not know how to shut my mouth! :rotfl: Thanks again!! :goodvibes

   20 DAYS!!!

I think it just hit DBF and I that we will be leaving in 20 DAYS! It really puts that number into perspective when you count how many weekends you have left. (which is 3, if anyone was wondering) We figured we are gonna be so busy on our weekends from now until we leave, that it won't even feel like 20 days passed! Lemme expalin:

This Weekend: Memorial Day! I am sure we will do something. I know we want to go see POTC-3 so maybe tomorrow we will have a date-night. We would go tonight but I am babysitting my nephew and dragging DBF with me because diapers scare me!

Next Weekend: It will be June! I can't believe that. It is also DBF's sister, aka Grumpy's High School graduation so we will be celebrating that. Which means, par-tay! party:

The Weekend After That: I will be babysitting my nephew again, again DBF will be joining me because guaranteed that diapers will still scare me :rotfl2: but more importantly it will be our last Illinois weekend until DISNEY!

THE WEEKEND AFTER THAT: Leave Illinois, MGM & Blizzard Beach! :woohoo:

I really hope it goes fast, but I am sure it will!!

Yesterday I printed out all the directions from Mapquest that we need to get from Illinois-Disney. We have made the trip so many times that we can probably get there without a problem, but just to be safe, we got directions. Plus it is fun to cross-off parts of the directions once you completed them. :cheer2:

When we go on roadtrips I am the official "direction giver" and "talker." The talker has the special job of keeping the driver (which is usually DBF) awake by well you guessed it, talking to them. I have no problems talking into the wee hours of the morning away, especially when I am so pumped to be going to Disney! However, I think by the time we cross the Florida State Line, DBF is ready for me to go to sleep and stop talking. Unfortunetly for him when we cross the Florida State Line is when I jabber even more! :hyper2:

I don't drive when we go on roadtrips because to be honest I do not like driving in places I do not know and I don't like expressways, highways (whatever you prefer to call them). I also have a major fear huge trucks. Plus when my family used to go on roadtrips, the women never drove, I guess in Italian families it is not acceptable for the women to drive the men across the country. However, what was acceptable was for the women to make sandwiches in the backseat. :lmao: I am not kidding.

Off Topic: If you have ever taken a roadtrip and have seen a family parked in a gas-station or rest stop cooking pasta in a large red van (which came equipped with a stove), that was my big, crazy Italian family. McDonalds? Never! The women would cook almost every meal we ate on vacation, but think of the money we saved! There is nothing like eating freshly cooked speghetti in the parking lot of a Texaco station. :rotfl2:

Anyways, since DBF's family is normal we can be sure to eat a lot of fast food, which is okay with me. Since I am not willing to drive, I do offer to make sandwiches.

I have also been researching here on the DIS about the Photopass CD which you can get for $125. It sounds like a good deal, especially if you get a lot of pictures taken by Photopass photographers. But I have read mixed reviews of the pictures turning out blurry or dark. However when we used them in 2005 I think their pictures turned out magnificent! I guess it just depends on the photographer. I think we will mostly likely get the CD, plus we can split the cost with everyone in our group.

I really want to get a picture of DBF and I in front the castle at night when it is all lit up. We have tried in past years with his camera, but he can never seem to get the camera setup right for night shots. I am so annoying when we go to Disney because I want to take pictures with all the characters and in all the "good" spots. Seriously, the only pictures DBF and I have together are from Disney, I guess in Illinois we don't do anything worth taking pictures of.

I am still sending DBF countdown characters, even though I haven't stumped him since he thought Bambi was Pocahontas.

Beast for 21 Days

Dumbo for 20 Days. :dumbo:

I hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend, be safe and have fun! :goodvibes

Yes...it's so exciting that Disney World is coming right up! Sooner for you than me...;) .

So funny about your mom cooking the macaroni in the parking lot. Do you call it macaroni? DH is Italian and that's what his family calls it. Every year they went up to the Adirondacks and his mom always made and still makes baked ziti, then freezes it, to take up there. A woodsy cabin wouldn't be the same without macaroni! :rotfl2:

Ha ha, I hate driving too, I would be there making the sandwiches, if it meant I didn't have to drive!

I LOVE this trip report! You are giving me so many good ideas about packing and such that I am almost overwhelmed! :rotfl: Those iteneraty cards are ADORABLE! I will definently be checking in and out and taking notes! :thumbsup2 You and your DBF are a bunch of cutie-pa-tooties! I cant wait to hear about your glorious trip. I'm so excited for the both of you.

Do the 20's dance, girly! :dance3:

We call usually call our noodles pasta. It must something about Italians needing their noodles on vacation. Whenever we go on vacation with DBF's family I usually need to have pasta at least 5 times on the trip. At home my mom cooks pasta everyday so I am just used to it. DBF's family just laughs at me when I am going through what I call pasta withdrawls!! :rotfl2:

Ha ha, I hate driving too, I would be there making the sandwiches, if it meant I didn't have to drive!
I am glad you agree with me!! I always tell DBF that if one day we are rich the first thing I am going to do is hire a chauffer because I hate driving so much!

Aww you are so sweet. :goodvibes Thanks for joining in and subscribing. I am glad you do not find the obsessive planning scary like a lot of people do. :rotfl: I see you have a pre-trippie, I will have to check it out! Thanks again!!

Do the road trips to Disney now while you dont have children....cause there is no way I would take one now with them. Once or twice a year we drive to Lancaster PA and its about 3 hours. Well thats my limit with children.pirate: :rotfl2:
All of the sudden the vacation is close....its like you count down and count down and one day you turn the corner and boom...its a few weekends away! Looking forward to seeing you hopefully around the resort or something....:hourglass Keep up the great report! :thumbsup2

19 days!!! Wow, I only have 188!!! I know you are so excited. I love reading your report so far, and next Thursday I will have DSL :cool1: so I can finish reading the whole thing and see the pics too without it taking all day to load!!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE your TR! I just want to pick you up and put you in my pocket, seriously! I love everything about your TR and you and your DBF are sooooo cute! :teeth:

You wouldn't believe how many times I went 'Ooooh!' in your TR because it's what we're doing or it's something the same as us! I am a big planner too as you've seen by my TR, but yours is super organised and puts mine to shame! I will have to work on it after my exams ;) I absolutely adore your little cards for making TR notes in the parks - that's a great idea! And your scrapbook is awesome, seriously it looks amazing!! I want to make a scrapbook after we come back and hopefully it looks as good as yours!

This is so strange but me and DBF are celebrating our 3 year anniversary about 2 weeks before Disney and wanted to celebrate our anniversary there. We usually get gifts for each other, go to a nice restaurant, etc.. but this year we won't have any £££ so want to celebrate in Disney. However, I wasn't sure if we were 'allowed' to do this and had images in my head of CMs ripping the 'Happy Anniversary' pin off my shirt because we weren't married :rotfl: Let me know how you get on with celebrating your dating anniversary! We've also got an ADR for CRT and will be celebrating there too! I've always wanted to eat at the Castle since I found out you could!

I'm also glad I'm not going crazy and am not the only one who's secretly planning my Disney 'wedding' - can you believe it that we have a non-park day, and I have scheduled a visit to the Grand Floridian and a walk to the Wedding Pavillion! That's my dream wedding destination and I desperately want to see it for real! Not that I am engaged or anything yet!

I can't believe you have only 20 days left, you lucky thing! I'm looking forward to reading your TRs when you get back! Sorry for the reeeeaaaallllly long post!!

I love your TR so far! I looking forward to reading the rest of it :) And love your itinerary cards with all the cute graphics! I love it so much I am going to have to steal it~!

On my last trip, I made the basic plain black & white text laminated itinerary cards and my DBf thought I was crazy. Imagine his reaction when he sees colorful, graphic filled cards this time! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tips!! I actually do not mind taking the road trips only because I like seeing the scenery and nothing builds up the anticipation quite like it, especially when driving to Disney; crossing that Florida State Line is so refreshing and quite decieving considering Disney is still a ways to go! I cannot believe how quickly the month of May has flown by. June is right around the corner and that means we are going to Disney!! :cool1: As always, thanks for reading!!

Yay for DSL! :thumbsup2 (that is what I have too!) I am glad you are enjoying my Pre-Trippie! And dont worry 188 days goes fairly quickly, I cant believe we are now in the teens because we started counting down at at around 200 days and I cant believe June is right around the corner!

And yes I can believe that you have scheduled time to visit the Wedding Pavilion because I did too!! :rotfl2: DBF and I plan on walking there when we are at our Luau at the Polynesian. I am so excited about it!!! Oh yes and congrats on your 3 year Anniversary! Hey, who knows maybe one day we will be planning our Disney Weddings at the same time!! :wizard:
