does anyone have any idea if they will release Snow white from the vault, i need a new copy badly...and i hate to spend the money on amazon.com, they want a fortune for it

I am sure it will be- but it will be sometime I would imagine because they just clsoed the new one out not too long ago (what two years maybe?). The ones they seem to be releasing now are ones that have not been released or have not been released ont he special two disc ones. The only reason I could see it maybe coming earlier is to put it on bluray.

i could have sworn the last time it was out was in 2001 the two disc spec.
because my aunt bought it for me when i was preg. with my first child....thats when i started my disney collection....

Snow White just celebrated her 70th birthday this past December. I was hoping the would re-release it then, or do something extra in the parks. She is my DD's favorite.

Snow white is suppose to be released some time this year. There is a website that you can check to see when movies are coming out but I don't remember what it is. You can't rent it from the mail order blockbuster because they say it isn't in yet. I don't know about netflix. My dd is a huge Snow White fan so I get it at the library when she needs a major fix.

thanks, i actually just bought one on ebay, used, but they claim no scratches, my kids can't wait till they re release it, the one i got was from 2001 and they touched it so much they scratched it all up, and it stops right in the middle of the movie then plays for a few then stops, its quite annoying

I found the website and they now are saying it is going to be released in 2009. Sorry the last time I checked it said 2008. They are releasing Sleeping Beauty again in October.

This happens at our house all the time but staples sells some disc fixer you might want to try!

oh wow, really i did not know this, i will def. go there and buy it, there are just too many dvd's in my house to replace all of them, kwim, lol....

Whatever happened to the re-release rotation that Disney used? Didn't it used to be that movies came around something like every 7 years? That would have made Snow White due this fall but I see where some of you have posted the info that it's not coming back until 2009. I know it was last available in the fall of 2001 ... we bought it the day it came out and that decision started the Disney obession in our house. Snow White sparked our first trip to WDW in Feb. 2002 ... which has led to all the trips since.

(So ... are you SURE you want it when you can see where it leads? hee hee)

I get the limited availability. I just wish there was a system! Sleeping Beauty last came out AFTER Snow White last came out. Don't know why it's coming out before SW this time.

I wish there was a system ... like here it is for the next 6 mos. Then it will be back in 7 years.
