It's snowing here in Indy today, already 3+ inches and still coming down. So no work for me today, I'm a courier driver and I do not drive in the snow. So I will just have to force myself to spend the entire day here at the computer on the DIS boards, mostly on the DVC threads. :sad2: Now don't everyone get all broken up over this, someone has to do it :rotfl:

Hi Neighbor, we live over in Franklin Township. I'm off today (I telecommute most days anyway). But it took my husband an extra 40 minutes to get to work up in Castleton. I'm counting the days until our trip next month to Old Key West. I can't wait to see those palm trees and flowers again.yippee.

Sorry about your snow - it's just cold here in PA. But I too am dreaming about a hot day in August at WDW. Can't wait for my glasses to start steaming up when I step outside in the morning, (early in the morning - this is a Disney vacation after all), on my way to a park. Enjoy your snow day!

Yes, the only good thing about a snow day is the opportunity to sit here and read as many DVC threads as possible and gain as much knowledge as I can about our upcoming trip home to OKW. Looks like the snow has quit for now. :woohoo:

but I'm still sitting here on the DIS shootin' the breeze.

I"m especially intriqued by DVC, but dh hasn't shown any excitement. Perhaps we can rent sometime from an owner so he can see for himself the perks and so forth...we go once a year in January.

So, why did you choose OKW? I think I'd like BCV or BWV better 'cause I love the Epcot area and dh always has his convention at the Swan/Dolphin (we usually stay at the YC or BC)...but I really like the quiet, tropical flavor of OKW (especially coming from Indiana, lol).

I guess you've gotten what we had the last couple days. Work was shut down yesterday AND TODAY. What a great break to dream and plan my next trip!

I choose OKW for 2 reasons. First, the points are less than all of the other onsite resorts, thus making ressie at 11 months guarantees me not only a room for our upcoming trip, but also using less points for that trip if need be. 2nd, my favorite non-DVC resort is CBR, and I feel that OKW will be the closest match to that as far as DVC resorts go.

I bet you are getting hit by the same storm that just came through here. Omaha got 14-19", depending on what part of the city you are in. Its a big storm. Hopefully it will die down for you and you wont get as much.

I'm in Cincinnati and all our school districts were closed today! I spent the day on the DIS and playing in the snow with DD5....I love snow!!!

I am South of Indy. We got about 5" here. Schools were closed but not enough to snow me in from work. :confused3

Thats ok though because I am headed to Saratoga Springs in 67.5 HOURS!!!
