Snow today in Buffalo

Crazy amounts of snow today in Buffalo! All Southwest Flights cancelled. Feel bad for anyone who was flying today.

yep some places have gotten over 4ft of snow and could potentially get 7ft+ when its all over.

i live in niagara county which is just north of the action and its been sunny all day and we only have a dusting of snow.

Yikes! Hope the weather is nice on Dec. 20 when I fly out. I don't care if I can't return.

We have been in Buffalo since Monday for our flight that was suppose to have left Tuesday morning. We have now had to reschedule our flight 3 times and hopefully are finally leaving tomorrow at 9:35 a.m. We have now lost 2 full days in Disney

Heard on television and read on the internet that the Niagra University Womens Basketball Team was stranded on a bus....Thank God ok I think now!

My friends are currently stuck. Their flight home from Orlando landed yesterday morning, but they took a wrong turn on the way back to Canada and ended up in the worst of the storm (they were trying to get out of the bad area but most of the major routes were closed). They are safe, but not allowed to leave and have been there well over 24 hours. There is well over 6ft of snow where they are, and 2 feet or more coming this evening. The National Guard has been called in. It's BAD.
Why Jetblue even allowed that flight is beyond me. My friend was texting me from the air, and I checked the website. She was nervous and I didn't have the heart to tell her I could see all other flights cancelled. She was in the air at that point, there was no point making her worry more.They could have made it home, as there were some clear routes but with the major highways closed they got turned around and now they are in it until cleared to leave.

i'm finally getting some snow in Niagara county.
only a couple inches but its very powdery and wind blown.
and its very slick to drive but at least its not 6ft of snow like Erie county.

Just checked Southwest's website... all flights out of BUF are showing cancelled again for Thursday November 20/14.

My heart breaks for all who planned their trips out of BUF. Many of them months & months in advance. Mother Nature, you are not funny at all!

The lake effect snow machine is going to get fired up again as well with another 2 to 3 feet of snow expected by the weekend on top of the 7 feet they already have in places.

I read in USA Today that the Buffalo Airport itself got less than 6 inches of snow and the runway never closed however flights are being cancelled because no one can get to the airport!

I have a flight to Disney on December 5th and praying the roads will be cleared by then! The thought of having to pay for airfare again to fly out of Toronto is killing me!

The 6 foot fence in the yard is almost covered.
Have been housebound since returning from work on Monday afternoon.
We have the driveway cleared, but still no plows for the street.
That does not matter now because there has been a driving ban since the storm(s) began on Monday evening.

We do have heat, power, a snow blower and food.

Our flight is also December 5th and I'm not concerned. It supposed to warm up this weekend and much of it will melt. There will be some flooding issues, but I can't see the airport and surrounding area not being clear 2 weeks from now.
If for some reason there were problems and Southwest was still cancelling flights you could switch and fly out of another airport but I don't think it will come to that unless there is another freak storm.

I'm snowed in at WDW- my flight on SW was suppose to leave today, to BUF but southwest let everyone needing to change it to do so for free. So I get 2 extra days here and fly out on Sat. Hopeful I won't have an issue on the way home from Buffalo.
I feel real sorry for those who are stuck at Buffalo and can't get out.
