Snow on Main Street

The snow is turned on when the party starts. It may actually be at the end of the first parade so only party goers are in the park.

It isn't like traditional fake snow it is bubbles.

Funny story. We're from Illinois so my kids have grown up catching snowflakes on their tongues. 2005 the first Christmas party of the year was Nov 27 which was my daughter's 9 th birthday and I surprised her with tickets to the party. At some point that night we were walking down Main Street and I was talking to my son who was on one side when from the other side I heard, "Oh yuck that's not snow that's soap!" She will be 20 this year and she still tells people how I let her eat soap in Disney. LOL Of course when she tells it it sounds like I watched her do it!

Oooh does the snow run the whole party time? This will be my first year going to the party! I did get to experience the soap snow briefly during the Frozen days at HS two years ago... but I think "snow" on Main Street at night will be amazing!

It really is neat to look at. I believe the PP is correct that it starts when the party starts at 7:00. I don't remember if it was still "snowing" when we left at midnight. We were pretty tuckered out by then. I'm fairly certain they still had it going around 11:00pm.

This makes me wish I didn't have a 6am flight the morning after I'm going to the Christmas party! I thought I didn't want to take an extra day off, so I can get back to work the next morning... but if I didn't already book my flight I would just take the day off after all... I'm sure this will be a 3am Magical Express ride!!! Seriously considering the $70 change fee, but that will pain me too much!

It's really, really pretty.

Disney magic at its finest.

Does it ever snow not at mvmcp? We will be there starting 12/23. Wondering if we will catch this cool effect!

This thread has me so excited! DD and I are going to MVMCP on December 1st. We have never been to this party before. We have gone to MNSSHP and loved every minute! We really can't wait for our girls only trip!!

:rotfl:It's no fun :faint:...July, 2014, we attended with DGD's soccer team. Of course, our last night HAD to be in the MK...EMH meant 2 AM closure. One of our Florida friends spent the day with us there. DH gave out around midnight but Ed and I stayed until 1 AM...trying to "close the park" down. Had I followed my schedule :rolleyes1, I would have already been packed but we all know "the schedule" doesn't happen at DW. :rolleyes1 We almost made it but I HAD to get back and pack so Ed delivered me to CBR around 2...ME pickup was 4 AM :faint:. It wasn't easy packing in the dark, showering and getting 3 others "up and at 'em" for that pickup...but it CAN be done! :tink:

Last year (girls only trip :goodvibes) was our first MVMCP party...we talked so much about the fun time we had, DH REQUESTED a trip this year for the party! :yay: We're from South Texas and RARELY experience snow...the FROZEN experience gave us our first "taste" of "DW snow" and we L-O-V-E-D it :cloud9:. True...it's not the real thing but add in the "Disney Magic" and the experience is a treasured one. ::yes:: :tink:
