Here is the accuweather forecast for the day we are arriving in Disney. I know it's a far ways away but flurries in Disney? Has this ever happened, I didn't think Florida ever got snow.

Jan 24 Some sun with a flurry or two Low: 38 °F High: 58 °F

I don't know about in Orlando, but my area in Florida has about one day every couple years, with snow fluries. Ussually in the early morning. The snow melts when it touches the ground, and most people pass it off has a rain haha. & I am in the Tampa Bay Area, so that is straight across the state, so we usually have around the same weather patterns.

Never trust any weather report more than a few days away. Four or five days for possible precipitation, and two or three days at most for high/low temps within five degrees.

Okay, I'm having a panic attack!!
I know it's too far out to be accurate, but snow flurries??? c'mon! Let's hope for upper 70's, low 80's - and let's PRAY accu-weather is WAY OFF!!

I saw this too, as it is our first day there. Let's just pray it was a mix up, it is still pretty far off. I'm hoping for sunshine and warmth after being in the teens here.

It's possible. I've seen it as far south as Ft. Myers (but that was about 30 years ago).

Not to depress anyone who's headed there, but we went last Jan. 1-5, and a major cold front moved in. All our Disney photos look like we're on a ski vacation. Temps were in the 30s and low 40s....for the High!! We were in our winter coats, gloves, hats! We even took a blanket out of the room and wrapped our two girls up in it in their double stroller. For 3 days, it was FREEZING!! It finally hit 60 on the day we left!

I saw the snow flurry thing too, but another weather site says high of 72. Just goes to show it is probably an art rather than a science this far out. Let's keep our fingers crossed for warm weather!

I saw it too, but if that high is right, I am fine with it.
After all the crappy weather we have had here in WA the last month, I am good with just about anything!
We froze for part of our trip in Nov., so I will be prepared for layering and jackets.

well if the low is 38...then most likely the snow flurries would be when you are sleeping...high of 58 during the day is still good... Saturday is our last day...so that day I will make sure to have my jacket..and we will be fine

Fort Lauderdale 32 years ago!!!

Went to College in St Augustine and one year they had a day of "snow" in Jan before classes resumed...I was in the Bahamas though!

Yes, it can snow in Florida during the winter, especially north and northwest Florida (more so than south Florida - it has to be a really strong cold front with lots of moisture left, but it can happen). Sometimes it even stays on the ground for a while. I can remember having a half inch or so of snow on the ground when I was little - I made a baby snow man (this was north Florida).

The snow flurry thing could be for more up north like Gainesville area. They did have snow years ago but haven't heard anything the past few years. But we do have a different cold due to the Gulf and the Ocean breezes so 38 can feel mighty cold. I do not think you have to worry about snow flurries at all becuase I think all those weather places are wrong half the time anyway.

Thanks for the responses. I'm sure the weather forecast will change by then. I'm just so sick of snow already being up here in Massachusetts!

It snowed in Daytona Beach in MARCH one time when I was visiting my (then) BF who went to college there. It was pretty crazy. That would have been maybe 1992(??).

January can be quite cold in Florida. 2 Years ago we were there when they were having record low temps. We ended up buying hats and blankets and winter gear.
Here I am freezing at the bus stop. It was only about 40* at 8am

Here is me in the warm hat and blanket I had to buy. (I also had to rent a wheelchair for Epcot because my back went out)

Someone else noticed!
I live in Davenport (15 minutes west) and I saw our 15-day on Accuweather today, and I was .. surprised?

Saturday, Jan 24th: Bit of rain, snow - High 59 Low 38

I personally think its an error, but we'll see.

Snow in Tampa every couple years? Really?

I'm a Tampa native and I can only remember two in the last 30 or so years. January of 1977 and a couple days before Christmas in 1989.
