Someone just posted on another group, that there are now snow flakes in Port Canaveral.

Sue - flying into and cruising out of Port Cananveral tomorrow.

Tell me about it! We are driving tomorrow early a.m. and it doesn't look much warmer than we are now! . . . well, yes it does, but STILL!!

Be careful driving through the Carolinas, they had a lot of snow, for them at least and they don't know how to handle it.

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT - we did have snow furries here - can you believe that - SNOW IN FLORIDA? Anyhow I didn't get to see it, guess I wouldn't have known it unless it would have slapped me in the face since I have never seen snow - I understand it is pretty for a little while and then it gets messy - Anyhow it is still very cold here but promises for a better week ---next week.
Anyhow hope all is staying warm and toast.
Always
Shirley

Yikes, I am really scared now!!!
One of my "guilty pleasures" is reading the B.S. papers like Weekly World News and the Sun while soaking in the bathtub or flying to Orlando. I just read in WWN that there was going to be snow in Florida, and I laughed it off. Now it has come true!! What next...Bat Boy on my balcony?! :jester: :jester:

Shirley,

If you have never seen snow, you should really take a trip to snow country. It is really pretty, just becomes a pain, when you have to function in the real world. As part of a vacation, snow is beautiful.

Sorry guys, it's all my fault...looks like I am possibly moving to Orlando, the black cloud that follows me around is just moving in early! You should, from now on, expect burst pipes, temps in the -20's celsius, and a minimum of 2ft of snow every once and a while. This curse, as is the case with all disney Princesses, will be lifted only when a handsome prince, true of heart and virtue, will fall madly in love with me, and carry us of to his castle...with frequent vacays on the magic, of course....:smooth: and we live Happily ever after..
ok, ok, it was worth a try! But the black cloud is for real.

One thing about Florida - the weather never stays the same - guess that is what I love about my state - being born and raised on the island of Key West, I can remember many times that it was warm enough to go on picnics and swimming on Christmas day - I also can remember the same here in Brevard County with my children - one thing is a fact, at least we are alive and can bundle up through it or enjoy it - Sue I hope someday that I can see snow - I hear about making snow angels and didn't know what it was until MY children explained to me - Just wait next week the cold weather will be history and everyone can enjoy balming in the warm breezes of the caribbean with a konk cooler :p
anyhow meanwhile stay warm and thanks for the wonderful responses - you all are great.
Hugsssssss from a chilly Fla
Love always

We had snow(flakes) here in Hilton Head too. Second time in
twenty two years we've lived here.

At school, they let the kids go out and play in it!!!! Natalie was
thrilled. That is only the second time she's seen snow and she
was very excited.

But, like Shirley said....it will be over soon and come July...we'll be
complaining because it's too HOT!!!!!

OH...I have to tell y'all this....those who have pets will scream at this.....

today is Natalie's 10th birthday....DH made her cake last night and left it on the counter to cool....sometime between then and 6:30 this morning...miss DOG helped herself to the un-iced(thank God) cake!!!!!! Took herself a BIG chunk right out of it. DH was not too happy, but me and the kids that were here...were screaming with delight!!!! Miss Dog in big trouble!!!! lol

Everybody stay warm.....

Phyllis

Snow is so pretty..BUT NOT WHEN IT IS 11* OUT!!! It is sooooooooo cold here in CT. I haven't left the house in over 2 weeks. We have peanut butter and jelly left in our cuboards (maybe a little more than peanut butter and jelly-but close). The kids are going nuts, they have been having in-door recess at school because the fear of frost bite (so the teachers are going nuts!!) I have been doing a lot of baking, that's the only thing that keeps me sane.
Stay warm everyone!!!

It's actually above freezing here at the Northern New Jersey shore today! The ice slick that's been a part of my driveway for weeks is gone. I'm going to miss it! They're predicting snow and cold for tonight, though. I dislike winter and cold weather and snow and coats and hats and mittens...I wanna be in Florida! Oh wait, it snows there, too sometimes.

Anyway--do the ships have heat? I would imagine they do, but I'd like to know for certain before I cruise again next December, just in case this deep freeze doesn't ever break!

And meanwhile here in beautiful Southern California, it is 82 degrees and absolutely gorgeous!:Pinkbounc

And in Salt Lake City, Utah (home of the 2002 Winter Olympics) we are basking in 50 degree plus temperature without a snow flake on the ground (except in the mountains) and our kids are playing outside riding bikes instead of sleds!!

Weird weather this year!
