Did anyone else have to change their Disney plans due to making up snow day? I am so depressed. We had the perfect trip planned for Easter week (here 4/4-4/10) very excited about ADRs, and spending Easter in Disney. With the last 2 days off due to snow we now losing our break since we had already added on the maximum days at the end.

I am hoping to change the reservation to August but that is so far away...and not sure if it will even work with our schedules.

Couple of thoughts...

1) you are brave woman to be doing one of the craziest weeks of the year with a little one ;)

2) are you not willing to let the school aged ones skip school for a couple of days???

3) If you do have to shift to August...the good news is that the crowds should be lower AND you'll probably get a better deal (free dining or room discount)

I agree with the above. According to your sig. you only have an 18yo that would now be missing school. You can't get her out for a few days? I think the school would understand due to the cost and such and since you did plan for Spring Break.

Yes and I would add that here in Mass we go over snow days all the time. And the schools have cancelled breaks as a result. However, the schools do not penalize students for not being there as they understand parents may have booked vacations.

Oops- you are right, I would take DD18 out for a few days, but she wasn't going due to sports and her senior trip to Disney is 3 weeks prior.

Both DH and I are teachers so we are the ones who can't take off. :rolleyes1

It's funny we go Easter most years, so I guess the crowds don't really bother me...I am thankful that Disney so pretty forgiving with their cancellation/modifying policy so we are able to travel in August.

I am also a teacher in NJ & we will have to make up these 2 days over Spring Break. I am not going into work those days because I will not reschedule my family's vacation. They won't be happy about it, but I don't care. There will be very few kids in school those days anyway. I'm pretty sure they will dock my paycheck for the two days, but I will accept that. It's worth it!
