Snow day = try on clothes and begin packing for March

Joining in a bit late but I finally got the suitcases out (traveling with two carry-ons) this trip.
I just got an email from Air Canada that my departure time has changed from 10 am to 6:30 Am:cool1:
I'm still debating getting the Quick Service Dining Plan as I'm not sure if I'll be able to make good use of it During the Flower and garden Festival. I know they are going to set up new booths this year with food.

I got my March ADR for the Wishes Dessert Party!pixiedust::thumbsup2
now to sort through all my spring/summer stuff.
Happy planning everyone!

Hugs Mel

Started packing today as we are home bound due to the storm.....if I don't pack enough clothes, I'll have to go shopping, isn't that a shame...lol

Home bound too. Literally snowed in! Some pretty big snow drifts!
We too started packing. As predicted, shorts too short and swimsuits too small. sigh. American Eagle has shorts in already, so we're good there. Anyone got any good places to buy swimsuits at this time of year? Online doesn't work for eldest daughter - i've made that expensive mistake before -teens need to try things on! :goodvibes

Also trying on and beginning our pre packing ritual. Make a list of what we need to pick up.

Our kitty is also a suitcase sleeper so they have to wait a bit longer. This weekend our school district cancelled all extra curricular activities. Next weekend is provincials for our bball team and the next weekend is districts.

Somehow, we will pack it all in!:rotfl:

I can't wait for basketball to be over!
But then volleyball starts!
I didn't miss everything being cancelled today!

We are in Niagara, spent the day digging out. DS and DDL made the trip to a
Mississauga Mall to get Notarized permission form for us. We are taking our Grandson (6yrs old) to the Bahamas on Feb. 21st/Disney Wonder. Really glad I read your messages, I totally forgot to try on my clothes!

Instead, I've been thinking about when we should tell him. Not too early that his Mom and Dad have longer excitement to cope with. Given the Storms we have been having, I want to monitor the weather, just incase it looks like a
Cancelled vacation as well.

Keeping positive with thoughts of How to tell him. We are planning an empty suitcase, opened with a Disney Cruise book, and a Shirt (Disney Logo) the only items inside. Of course camera rolling.

Just hoping his Golden Retriever doesn't try to sit on it. He is 75lbs.!

Wishing everyone safe travel and smooth sailing.

My cat sleeps in our suitcase too - remember on the news the lady that got toDisney and her cat was in her luggage - alive and well.....:rotfl2:

My two weeds (DHs) have outgrown all of their shorts so we need to do some 10pm shopping when we arrive as we have a meeting with Mickey at 9am the first full day we are there!

Gina.....did you make it to Burlington? Guessingno as that weather didn't let up at all last night.

Bankr63.......I had to check and see if you were my daughters Favourite teacher Mr Ross....she said it wasn't you. Sorry you had to work. We are west of the city and when the buses don't run, no one goes to school as most of the kids are bused!

I made a grocery list....need to begin a list of things that need to get done.....dog walkers, US cash, book airport transportation (in Ottawa).......I just need to keep my mind on Orlando to keep warm!

Happy planning all!

No ma'am. The coach emailed us around noon saying he had cancelled our participation in the tournament for the entire weekend due to the storm. I was so relieved. Our whole city had pretty much shut down as it was.....they even closed the YMCA. I could not imagine making the journey to Burlington in that blizzard.

I am so envious of ya'll who are escaping Old Man Winter in just a few short weeks!!!!

I'm with you all with waiting for the end of basketball. We have house league and travel and dh coaches. So an average week is 2 nights a week and Saturday mornings with tournaments every few weekends. Next weekend is another tournament and there is an exhibition game this week so it's 4 week nights and all day Saturday. Dh and my son LOVE it though so I keep the complaining to a minimum:)
And you're right, when basketball ends it will be time for tennis and soccer so really I am used to it at this point:rotfl:

I have two cats that love to shed in my suitcases. They get some mad when they see them come out, and start to act all loving so we won't leave!!
That is our plan today, we bought a couple of new tank tops yesterday that they had just put out, and my girls got some new pool flip flops. Told them to start wearing them around the house for the next 18 days to break them in. Nothing worse then new shoes. I can't wait to take my socks off and be able to wear sandals/flip flops for two glorious weeks. And need to get rid of the winter, white, pasty, dry skin, from a harsh winter. Here's to hoping everyone's March Break plans go smoothly and there are no more storms. Have fun everyone!

bankr63: Are you flying out of Winnipeg? Sounds like we are in the same boat with Westjet flight change and transfer in TO down to 1 hour and 20 minutes. Considering carry on only, but not sure we can swing it.

No, we fly from Ottawa, but might be on the same flight down. When we booked (at around the 10 month mark for March break), there was an Ottawa direct flight in the evening. But WJ rebalances their schedule occasionally, and moved the direct flight to a morning flight. That left us with a choice to move to Saturday morning or a Toronto transfer Friday night (DW is a teacher and can't leave early on the Friday before the break). With our accomodation already booked, we went for a transfer. We won't get into the resort until around 1:00 am, but the kids are old enough now to handle this.

As to the cat thing, we bought a couple of new spinners 2 weeks back. Left them standing on the floor in the bedroom. Well doesn't the cat hop on top of the bag and realize that it moves. Yes, we may have the worlds first luggage surfing cat! :rotfl2: I just wish I could have the video camera ready when she does it, but it seems to have faded a bit now.

If we miss our flight the next available one is likely yours. Here's hoping there's enough time between!

Too funny about the kitty antics!
