Does anyone know where to purchase snow cone syrup? I bought the Ninja to make smoothies and snow cones for my kids for Xmas and was hoping to find some of the snow cone syrup.

Thanks so much..and Happy Holidays :santa:

We do this with our Ninja and the kids love it. We just make our own syrup by making a simple syrup (basically boil equal parts sugar and water - let cool) and then add to taste some kool aid. We bought a bunch of different packets and made several flavors.

we've used the nonalcoholic margarita mix when we ran it and it was oh so good, a little more calories though :lmao:

walmart may have some--you might really have to look for it though. It is a summer item.

We make our own and store them in emptied sports water bottles. allrecipes.com has the directions. We doubled the koolaid packets for more potent flavors and have even made sugar free varieties with Splenda. Beats the heck out of ordering online or searching high and low for them.

The full sugar variety is truly a syrup like you'd buy. The Splenda version yields a much smaller batch and it's a much thinner liquid, but just as tasty!

Have fun and Merry Christmas!

LOL...I bought one off of amazon last x-mas and then couldn't find the syrup either...ordered some from amazon at a cost! then, in the summer we were able to find lots at Target!

We used to make our own when I was little and it was cool aid mix with just enough water to make it the right consistency.

Our local hardware store sells it all year - because the rent out sno-cone machines. Actually - any rental store that rents sno-cone machines would have some. (They'd be foolish not to have some for sale!)

Thank you all so much! I am going to try the homemade version...this sounds really inexpensive. If not, off to the rental store...that's a great idea! If I would have been more prepared I could have ordered online...but, not me. It's 4 days before xmas:eek:

Even check out a restaurant store. We have one around here actually called The Restaurant Store and they sell them.

We have store here where go buy snow cone mix year-around. I just bought some some tonight. The kids have been begging to make snow cone tonight. LOL

You know the ice pops that come in the long plastic sleeve and you get something like 250 for a couple of bucks? That's what we use. So much cheaper, but I realize that probably doesn't help you now but keep it in mind for summer!
