So we can either snorkel at the Bahamas, at Catamaran Sail and Reef or in Lookout Cay at Tropical Reef Safari Snorkel.
Times would be about the same and price is about the same.

Is one recommended over the other? Hoping to get some thoughts to help me decide which day to book it.
Thanks!

I'm guessing by "Bahamas" you mean Nassau? (Just clarifying because Lookout Cay - and Castaway Cay for that matter - is in the Bahamas as well.)

If so, I've done that one and enjoyed it. While Nassau is not my favorite port to get off the ship, I'd do that excursion rather than cut into beach time at Lookout Cay. You'll see people say "Stay on the ship in Nassau for an empty ship" - but then discover that while not full, the ship is NOT empty at Nassau and there will still be lines for things like the slides, etc.

Is there a special snorkel thing at Castaway cay? Noobs.
The enclosed lagoon is a self paced/guided snorkel treasure trove. It's very large, so if any of the party are not strong swimmers, the mandatory life vests can come in handy. They've sprinkled the bottom with various Disney treasures (a statue of Eric from Little Mermaid, the submarine from 20,000 leagues under the sea and so on). Above the attractions there are float markers for swim to points.

The bottom of the lagoon, when we first visited, was very barren. Since then, they've been seeding the area with coral and it has come along nicely. Lots more marine life too. Stingrays are not uncommon and there's always the odd turtle. Lots of fun. What's not a lot of fun is not timing the tides. Swimming in on an ebb tide (when the water is going out) is not a lot of fun. There's tons of apps that will tell you tides for where you are.

Lots of fun for all ages
