Snorkel Excursion

Just wondering if the Castaway Cay Seahorse Catamaran Snorkel Adventure is okay for an 7 and 10 year old who have never been snorkeling before? I want to make sure they have fun and not scared. They are both good swimmers. Thanks!

We traveled with a 7YO and a 10YO. The problem at CC is that all of the water excursions are limited to 8 and above. So we didn't schedule anything, because the littler one might have been upset. You can snorkel off the beach with no restrictions, and we all did that.

We had this same question on the board several weeks ago. Recieved one reply that the snorkling was out in open water. The poster said that some less experienced swimmers were uncomfortable because the water depth did not allow them to stand up in the water. I was going to take our DS9 on that excursion but have some doubts. Any other advice out there????????
