SNL still great - Yeah right.

How stupid do they think we are? MSN and NBC are the same! I love "articles" that are really just ads.

And by the way NBC, SNL STINKS this season! The only two good skits were the "chronicles of narnia" rap and the "don't buy stuff" debt educational video with Steve Martin. The rest are just plain boring.

And never, and I mean NEVER have Scarlett Johanneson on as a host again.

I only watch occasionally but one thing I noticed is that the "news" segment has gone from being funny IMHO to downright mean and nasty at times. The jokes seem to fall flat.

I have to respectfully disagree. I have been a faithful watcher of every season since about 1979. Yes, I watched in the overly stinky early 80's without Lorne years.

This year is actually pretty good . The Catherine Zeta Jones show was hysterical this season--with particular attention to the Jazz Party skit-that was hysterical! Jack Black was pretty good as well as the christmas tree salesperson to two high maintenance snooty NY'ers. Drew Barrymore did a hilarious skit of herself and her Golden Globes dress during the weekend update.

I did expect a bit more from the Steve Martin show though. The skits were funny, but not haha remember the next week funny. One episode this season was hideous, it was with the stand up comic Dane something or the other as host. It was so bad --I the fan for over 20 years turned it off.

Remember Tina Fey (head writer and performer) was gone for a very short maternity leave. Maya Rudolph had a short maternity leave as well.

I do live two fo the featured actors this year-the two men. However, the woman is not that good. Her impressions are one dimensional and she hasn't shown her true comedic skills.
