what is a snack that you take into the parks.

we've tried chocolate candy bars and they don't hold up very well ;) . chips could get smashed. pretzels work and so do nuts.

just wondering what you bring along..

We buy out the isle at the grocery store that has the 100 calorie packs. Sometimes they get squished, but for the most part, they stay in tact and it keeps the munchies from killing your wallet some days in the parks.:thumbsup2

We bought a big bag of trail mix from Wal-Mart. We have a backpack that is a cooler and we could put water and the mix in there. Didn't get swished and one day (because we knew we would be there all day) we even put p'nut butter sandwiches in it.

I save up and do my snacking at the parks. Gotta have a bag of popcorn on Main Street, the fudge deal from the fudge place on Main Street, a turkey leg from anyplace (now don't be hatin' - I like 'em!), hot dog from Casey's, Sausage from Germany in Epcot, free soda at Club Cool, anything from the Food and Wine festival, but especially Cheese Soup from Canada (which my wife made for dinner tonight - thanks ftwildernessgirl), almost forgot the Dole whip which I can now get at the Poly, too.

where do you purchase the pepto bismol?

lol.... where is club cool, i never heard of free soda

Used to be Ice Station Cool over in Epcot - home of the infamous Beverly.

My DH was going through withdraw when it was closed for renovation. I can't say that I am a fan of Beverly. My DH and his best friend swear by it. I personally think it is disgusting!

By the way, that is the only place on property to get a free beverage I hear!

Rice krispi treats. It doesn't matter if they get smushed and they don't melt. I always make sure to pick up a few boxes for a trip! :thumbsup2

I second this! They hold up good! So do those cracker in a package like cheese and crackers or the ones with peanut butter!

DH just came home from Sams Club with a box of small packages of nuts!

:tink:

I Don't Take Snacks To The Park, But I Sure Bring Them Out. Yum.

I also bring a few small zip-loc bags in the bag with me because my DD3 loves to order two sets of grapes with her meals and never finishes them. We simply put them in the zip-loc and take them with us. This way she has a snack whenever she needs it. It is a good snack and it doesn't go to waste. We also bring the individual bags of crackers and cookies. Some do end up smashed sometimes so we just feed them to the critters in FW.

I second the Pringles. They don't get crushed. Also granola bars, Gardetto's, Pretzels, Mini oreos, candy (not chocolate) and fruit snacks.

I like pistachios and trail mix. Those are the favorites!

I don't take any snacks for dh and I...but I usually take pretzels, gold fish and fruit snacks for the kids (oh and bottled water).

If I was going to take something for us, I'd probably take the chewy fruit and nut trail mix bars or granola bars. I usually keep these in our room along with bottled water if we need a late night snack.
