Snacks on dining plan?

I know about bottled water, sodas and Mickey bars, but what else is covered by snacks on the dining plan. Dole Whips? Turkey Legs? Frozen chocolate covered bananas? I would rather use my credits for food than drinks. Can anyone who has used the plan let me know what was included?

If it's a speciality item such as a turkey leg or Dole Whip, then no, they are not considered snack items on the dining plan. Just your basics - soda, water, Mickey bar or other novelty ice cream from those carts, popcorn, small bag of chips, sometimes Mickey rice krispie, and fruit. That is it for the dining plan...

Yea the frozen bannanas are part of the alloted snack items, the good rule of thumb would be anything at the small carts that doesnt have to be cooked, with the exception of popcorn. There is still plenty to choose from, you could get something different every day. Now your snack per day includes 1 drink which is a 12 oz soda or medium soda fountain drink or 20 oz bottle of water AND an ice cream novelty or bag of chips, or popcorn or single piece of fruit. So if you get a drink your not using up you snack credit only the drink portion of it you still can get a food item..

It says on Disney's website that it is either a drink or a snack such as popcorn or ice cream. I am fairly certain one snack credit doesn't include both. Sorry to burst the bubble!

That's what I thought it said in the dining info Disney sent us.

The snack credit is just that- a credit. You can use two credits to get a food snack and a drink, but it will be counted as two credits. We just returned last week and found the dining plan to be a wonderful addition to our trip! Once we imagined our dining plan card as a debit card with an alloted number of credits for the length of our stay, it helped us to better understand the plan. For instance, as a family of four, we got two popcorns and two drinks on one day (four credits removed). Also each time you use your card, you will be given a receipt that tells you how many credits are still remaining in that specific category. We had the 6 day plan and being a family of four, we were given 24 snack credits. We could have used them up before we left or not. On our final day, we just got extra waters to use up the remaining credits.

Sorry guys, I thought this whole time you get a drink and a snack... That would seem to make sense but oh well. I am glad I found out this way intsead of just loosing credits on a drink when I am there so thanks everyone..
