Snacks brought in to Sea World?

Hello! I have a question for those who frequent Sea World or have been there recently. Are you allowed to bring small snacks and bottled water into the park in a bag or back pack?

When we go to Disneyland, I always bring in snacks such as trail mix, crackers and/or granola bars along with bottled water for my kids. Even though they do a bag search, I've never had anyone tell me that I'm not allowed to bring such items in.

It's been awhile since I've been to Sea World though, and I was wondering if they are as relaxed about such items? Do they have a security area bag check like Disney does?

Thanks for any info! :)

Sea World is not as nice with their outside food and drink policy as Disneyland. I have read on here about people being able to bring in snacks, but I have also seen firsthand people told to throw away their outside drinks (sodas/juices) and snacks. They search your bags at the entrance and have trash cans right there. It really depends on how nice the person working is, I'd guess. If you get them in, you'd be "sneaking" them, as their policy clearly states no outside food or drinks. The exceptions are bottled water, food/formula for youngsters, and food for those with special dietary needs. Those are allowed in, but I have seen them be real sticklers about other stuff.

We always bring in bottled water and small snacks for the kiddos (usually at the bottom of a backpack w/ their swimsuits, sweatshirts, etc) and have never been told we wern't allowed to bring anything.
We also get a refillable popcorn bucket and refillable soda (popcorn refills are $2 and soda refills are $1) right away (once in a while we remember ours from last trip, but we usually have to buy them on our first day). Their popcorn is yummy and their lemonade is good, too!

How much is the refillable popcorn bucket to begin with?

Thanks for that info! Someone had told me about the refillable soda, so we were already planning on doing that, but I didn't know about the popcorn. My kids love the stuff, so that works out great. :thumbsup2

Not too much - $4 I think? The refillable drink is like $8, I think. The price on that varies b/c they have several cup variations - so one with a big dolphin on top will run a few dollars more.

You can use your refillable cup for the frozen lemonade too. It's more than a pop but ohh so good.
If you have an AP your refills are even cheaper.

I don't think I've ever had a problem with snacks. Like PP they're always at the bottom of my backback.

Cool. I'm going to try to bring in a few snacks then too, in addition to the water. If they say something, no big deal, we'll take them back to the car. Even though we are planning to eat our main meal there at the park, my four kids are always hungry and looking for something to munch on! Like bottomless pits!! ;)

Love the refillable cups and bucket. I still have a few from when we have AP and take them with us when we go. You can get cotton candy in your popcorn bucket too! Bring along a ziploc to put your popcorn in so you can get the cotton candy. Or several bags so you can refill a couple times and have enough popcorn for all! The frozen lemonades are pretty good. DD11 loves them. Soda option is good to though the serve Pepsi :scared1: not Diet Coke.

You can bring in some snacks but you won't be able to bring in any drinks with straws and/or lids. Everytime I forget this I have to throw away my cup (from Sam's or Del Taco) as we walk in. It's a problem with the filtration system if the straws or lids get in them. Bring in your water bottles and those flavor tubes if you want.

I think refills were pretty cheap overall.

I will be bringing snacks in for my son ahs he has many different allergies. I will be bringing the paperwork to, so i can read labels.
