Hi~ I am traveling with hubby and 3 kiddies (9, 7 and 6) I would like to snack around Epcot so we can try different types of food. The more suggestions the better~ :wizard:

This is something that DH and I do all the time, we get one item and share from many places.

England, great fish and chips
Germany, killer brats and kraut
China, yummy shrimp fried rice and egg rolls
Sunshine Seasons, great soup and caesar salad
Norway and France, awesome pastries

Some of my families favorites are:

Mexico: Churros
Japan: Kaki Gori
France: Any french pastry

I second the churros and of course a margheritta (sp?) in Mexico. I always have room for that. I am going this year during Food and Wine Festival, so I am really looking forward to snacking my way through. That is if I can convince the rest of the party to do the same.

I love snacking around Epcot - it is one of our favorite things to do.

I love getting nachos and margaritas in Mexico, Fish and CHips in England, and Egg Rolls in China.

We can never seem to get past Norway's Kringla Bakeri, just too may goodies.:cool1: :hippie: :cool2: :flower3:

Thanks for all the suggestions..if anyone else has anymore I would love to hear them~ :wizard:

I LOVE the School Bread in Norway. Its like Coconut custard pie in a donut. The fish and chips in England are good too! Kaki Gori (shaved ice) is also good in Japan.

As far as drinks...the Margaritas in Mexico are good and the slushes in France are too!

The most important part of your post GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the info also!!:wizard:

Yes go Giants...... I've been working on the Giants/Jets new Stadium for the past 9 months and it would be great to see them leave the old giants stadium with a superbowl victory.

If you ever get the chance to visit WDW in the fall, EPCOT's Food and Wine Festival is in excellent chance to sample more foods from around the world. There are many small booths around the World Showcase suitable for snacking and putting on the pounds.

I too enjoy this...if we don't have ADR's for dinner...this is why! England has great fish and chips...don't forget the beer! Eggrolls, yummmm! Germany...pretzel & beer...lol...Ok, so you know what I am planning for Meixco right...lol!!!

I am willing to back the GIANTS too...If my Manning can't win it again this year, why not let his brother!!!

France-any pastry
Mexico-a huge Margarita
USA-funnel cake dusted with sugar
MMMMM

France - delicous adult smoothies!
UK- fish and chips with a beer!
Canada- Pop corn while watching Off-Kilter
Germany- Brats, pretzel, or apple strudel!
Norway - school bread or sweet pretzel.
Mexico- margarita
Morocco- anything from :thumbsup2 Tangerine cafe!!!!

Normally, I hate fish and chips but the ones at that little stand in England are so good I can't pass them up. Another good snack is the tea stand in China. That strawberry oolong slush and the peach schnapps oolong slush are quite good. Makes for a refreshing drink on a hot day.

I vote for:

Rou Jia Mo - Chinese Beef Sandwich from the Lotus Blossom Cafe in China
Brats and saurkraut in Germany
Shogun Combination - teriyaki chicken thigh, sukiyaki beef, and steamed rice from the Yakitori House in Japan

Yum, what a fun way to do dinner :D

1) Snacking-Around-The-World is one of the best things about Epcot.
2) It is my favorite park.
3) You really can';t go wrong with trying any snacks.
4) Besides, it's a cultural trek.

WE love dining around the WS too. But I guess I differ from some folks here - I'm not so big on greasy things like fish/chips or funnel cakes. The batter on the fish is too thick for my liking.

Both pastry shops are nice in that they have several options with real fruit (something I miss during a week long stay at WDW) Norway has a fresh fruit tart that's loaded with fresh fruit. France has several options like an apple topped danish type pastry. Both have excellent chocolate mousse too!

Japan and Morocco are two of our favorites. I understand China uses some MSG, so I avoid it generally. The new tea bar is fun though.

Sunshine Seasons is not in the WS - it's in the Land.

The American and Mexican pavillions are kind of disappointing...nothing very good there, IMO. But some folks like 'em.

My sister loves the choclate cake in Germany.

One other tip - if you want to dine around the world for dinner - start early. We always start too late. Near 9pm, places run out of some foods for the night.
