I am wanting to nibble my way around World Showcase...what is your favorite snack or small plate?

Thanks!

I like the strawberry crepes in France, something with caramel in Germany and usually stop in Norway for something and visit the quick service in Japan for whatever strikes my fancy.

I need to change it up next time. LOL

We've done this many times and we don't really have any favorites but what we've done. Nachos from Mexico, pretty big and easy to share. Egg rolls from China, again easy to share. Norway is a little harder as my son doesn't eat coconut and I love skool bread so we just go in the little shop and get whatever looks good at the moment. Pretzel and beer in Germany, again easy to share. We go to the wine bar in Italy and order a couple of cheese plate and wine flights. Morocco we go in the Spice Road Tables and share an appetizer plate. France - this is a no brainer for me - ice cream and I ain't sharing it with no one. GB - we get a fish and chips plate and share. We don't usually get anything from the US because we tend to not like anything they have, although we did once get a turkey leg and beer and share while watching a concert. We have also done the whole drink around the world thing getting beer from every country and sharing and normally do wine tastings in Germany, Italy, France and Morocco.

Frankfurter in Germany. I used to love the chicken tacos in Mexico until they started using Cilantro in them. Norway, the chocolate mouse, or the school bread, or lefse. China the apple egg rolls when they have them, or pork egg rolls, or pot stickers. In France I am partial to the croissants. In the UK I fancy the short breads. Those are my favorites from around the World Showcase.

I love those crepes with ice cream. Also in France, Les Halles bakery is so wonderful. If I could, I'd get one of everything in the case. Frangipane, macarons, the bacon and cheese roll, ham & cheese croissant, etc.

The chocolate mousse in France is magnifique!

That too!

My kids always loved the kakigori (snow cone) in Japan. The bakery in Norway is another place where I could go crazy. If there are a few of you, split an order of fish & chips from the U.K. shop. Season it with malt vinegar and wash it down with a stout.

But don't even get me started on the adult beverages! My current favorite is the Grand Marnier frozen martini. Sigh! What I wouldn't give for one of those right now.

Hope you have a great trip, OP. :)

This is my favorite thing to do in EP. Some of my favorite bites:
  • Croissant Jambon Frommage (Les Halles - France)
  • Anitpasti (Tutto Gusto - Italy) -- They have some antipasti plates on the menu, but they'll actually let you order whatever components you want, so feel free to be creative.
  • Pork and Vegetable Egg Roll (Joy of Tea - China)
  • School Bread (Kringla - Norway)
Also, the chips and queso at La Cava de Tequile in Mexico are good, but the real draw here is the margaritas. I'm not sure that the queso alone is worth the trip.

And, my uncle SWEARS by the Scotch Egg at Rose and Crown Pub, but I've never tried it myself.

Maple candy in Canada.

Oolong tea slush in China.

Gelato in Italy.

Churros in Mexico.

Whatever strikes our fancy in the caramel shop in Germany.

Fish and chips in UK.

I was reading through the first few comments and couldn't believe no one had mentioned Karamel Kuche in Germany!! Thank goodness the last couple saved my faith in humanity! :) I could spend my entire trip budget in there, though I try to limit myself to just a couple of items. The turtle-type thing (whatever they call it there) is to die for and worth every single penny.

Do yourself a favor and do not start in France, you may never leave !!! ;)

Karamel Kuche - my go to is the rice krispe with caramel and chocolate. La Halle (anything) or Gelato sandwich (Le Artisan) in France. Norway - school bread is the go to but ask the cast members about the cones if you are more adventurous (we get the lefse - but my grandma used to make from scratch and this is not a taste for the masses, but the cast members always add more butter and sugar for me when I let them know I grew up on it). Taco in Mexico. It isn't a snack but have to get the grapefruit beer in Germany. Soooo much good stuff!
