Aright, I know this sounds ridiculous, but I'm a total foodie- a food junkie. I'm extremely excited about my trip for Christmas that I've actually been on a diet since Thanksgiving and been working out harder to lose the anticipated weight ill gain that week (even though I never seem to pack on pounds at Disney- must be all the walking :confused3)

Anyway, there are a few snacks I need to get at Disney each year. First, is a beer and pretzel from Biergarten. One of my favorites.

Then, there are some that I never had, that I really wanna try. I'm definitely having a dole whip this year- my first. To stick with the Christmas theme, I'm going to find the gingerbread cupcake in DHS, find peppermint ice cream or have the hot chocolate float (does anyone know if they still have this in MK?), and of course a Mickey Rice Krispie treat.and of course, my first trip to the French bakery.

Can anyone Make solid holiday snack or just solid snack suggestions? What are your favorite snacks at Disney and where do you find them?

DH and I have only been there during the Christmas season once, and all I can really remember as being specific to the holiday was when we attended MVMCP and had the cocoa and cookies... But I knew nothing of the DIS or anything then, oh, the knowledge I have gained since then, lol!! ;)

Personally, DH loves the cinnamon rolls from the Main St Bakery (which we will be trying at Gastons our next trip, as it will be closed) and I love the schoolbread in Norway, mm! After watching the Guy Fieri Disneyland Christmas special the other night, I really feel the need to go out there to check things out! Mmmm!!

I would suggest visiting the Gingerbread house at the GF and getting some Gingerbread. There are several Gingerbread displays around the World, but this is my favorite, and the gingerbread is good.

We have always loved churros. They make them fresh in carts all over the park.

One of my faves is the salted chocolate caramel from the caramel shop in Germany. We also love Dole Whips!

I had candy cane ice cream at the Coronado Springs resort that was really good.

And my favorite treat of all is the cappuccino crunch cupcake at Pizza Planet.

The Citrus Swirl (frozen orange juice swirled with vanilla soft serve) is back at the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland! I had one a couple of weeks ago, and it was as good as I remember from when I was a kid.

My favourite snack of all is the popcorn! Be careful about dieting too close to your trip....every time I've done it I can't seem to enjoy the food at WDW as much and I get full too fast!

I must be in the minority here. I was on a meal plan a few years ago that had "snacks" built in and didn't use any of them until the final day, when I realized I was going to get seriously ripped off if I didn't. I think I bought a bottle of OJ or something small like that.

I'm not a big eater (I think my students could out-eat me and all but one girl I've dated has been able to do it) and don't usually snack much during the day. When I'm at a park where I may be going on rides, I usually skip breakfast altogether and then just get a decent brunch somewhere (I don't want to be the one whose Mickey Mouse waffle goes out the opening door on the Tower of Terror).

On that note, they used to have "character cookies" in the 90s and maybe still do. They were sort of like Barnum's Animal crackers but they were Mickey and Donald. They made a good late night snack but I'm not sure if they're still around. The Mickey head gummies were pretty good too (got those in 95 but unsure if they still have them; I THINK they were from a hotel lobby).

My husband loved the warm, candied almonds last Xmas and I always love the Macadamia Nut Cluster found in most of the candy stores. Num.

Hi, just returned from Disney yesterday so the snacks are fresh in my mind! Unfortunately (kind of) we were on Deluxe Dining (the good part) so we were almost always too full for snacks (the bad part). However, I can tell you to definitely get the Napoleon from France's bakery and I quite enjoyed the cinammon bun for breakfast from Main Street Bakery (worth waiting for in a line that went out the door). The napoleon is my favorite snack is the World. I would definitely avoid the brownie from Germany's caramel shop - just awful. Oh, and my husband loves the glazed almonds they have at various carts. Have fun!

Another vote for the warm roasted Cinnamon-Sugared Almonds! I can't go to Magic Kingdom without getting those!

In April I got them from a cart right near the Tiki Room, on the way to Pirates. The year before they were selling them on a cart close to the Tea Cups!

Wen we were there last week we discovered the Carmel apple oatmeal cookie in the Germany caramel shop. It's unbelievably good but very rich.

The MSB cinnamon roll is one of our favorites also. We had it twice just recently on our trip (while saying good bye to MSB as we know it LOL) We also checked it out at Gastons in FLE and it is the real deal there also. The only thing different (at both places) is that now they are adding a caramel sauce to the plain sugar icing. I would prefer just the sugar icing, but the caramel wasn't that much different.

I don't know if they still have it (I can't find it on a menu, but I swear I got it when I was there in May of this year), but at the French Bakery I always get a Sacristain. It's twisted bread that's much like a croissant with chocolate running down each piece of the "rope" with a clear glaze on top.

I also love the cheese plate and the chocolate mousse!

Yes, the churros and warm candied nuts!!
Also love anything from Boulangerie in France.
Corn dog nuggets with cheese sauce from Casey's, nom nom!!

You must try the carrot cake cookie at DHS at Writers stop or the candy shop near TOT :) My hubby & I split this & it was our fave thing that week. I just made a copy cat of it this week!

I also recommend the salted caramel in Germany @ Epcot YUM!
