I am looking for ideas of snacks to pack (for those hard to find items) and snacks I can pick up at Target when we arrive. Some healthy and some junk, too. A little mix is OK--this is vacation.

thanks:thumbsup2

I'm not sure what the ages are of your kids, but we just got back with our 19 month old and a friends 2 1/2 year old. I was armed with a LOT of snacks, but seems like the most popular were the princess and little einstein fruit snacks, and small cans of mandarin oranges. I also brought the little cans of green beans and meat sticks (yuk - ha ha, but for some reason my 19 month old loves them), but they were a life saver when we were seated an hour late for our dinner reservation at Epcot. She ate in her stroller while we waited. I also brought the mini bottles of water and Roarin Waters from Caprisun in a small soft sided cooler.

here are some ideas on MY grocery list..lol

chex mix
granola
fruit snacks (gummy kind)
cookies/crackers (those 100calorie packets are good)
fruit cups
baby carrot sticks
PB/cheese and crackers
dry cereal
chips
fresh fruit
raisins
yogos
granola bars
fruit roll-ups
nutri-grain bars

Favorites of ages 4, 5, 8, 9, 10, 16, 17, and 18 year olds:

combos
trail mix*** (sweet and salty, my 10 year old insists);)
Peanut packs
little lemonade pouchy things to add to water

We bought a variety of other stuff last time, but those were the most popular.

:cheer2: DD10 wanted this posted.

What I always pack for a day out at Disney, the beach, park, etc....

- Baby carrots
- string cheese
- frozen yogurt tubes (Yobaby)
- pre-sliced apples or something like melon balls or orange slices. (Bananas get mushy or brown spotted too easily, and I don't want to have to cut fruit up there)
- "toddler trail mix" (Cheerio's, other cereals, small pretzels, some mini M&M's or handful of mini marshmellows, goldfish, Gerber puffs, etc... basically, anything snacky in your pantry)
- cereal/granola bars
- bottled water
- if I can find them, the single serve Rice Dream boxes (my girls can't have regular milk, and they get a huge kick out of milk boxes!)
- pudding cups

Thanks for the responses. I am going to pack a small duffle bag with everyone's snack ideas and then pick up a few more perishable snacks at Target when we arrive. I would have never come up with string cheese, but that's a good one. I always have some kind of cheese at home everyday.
My friend suggested banana chips, too.
BTW, my youngest is 5 and my oldest is "35" (my husband is the original junk food junkie when we are on vacation).
