Snack/CS question in Epcot

We are eating at odd times 2 days in Epcot. I was wondering if where a good place would be to get a substancial (sp?) snack in Epcot. Could I use a CS credit if I am out of snack credits? (obviously not the way to get the 'most' out of the plan, but this might work for us.) Thanks.

I believe the bakery in Norway is one of the best deals for a CS. You can get a cup of soup, a sandwich, any of their pastries, and a large soda. For a snack credit you can get any of their pastries.

I've never heard of anyone getting a snack with their CS credit, but that doesn't mean you can't. Good question!

As far as substantial snacks in Epcot, I'd say that either the bakery in Norway or the bakery in France would be your best choices. If you are looking for a substantial CS meal, I'd recommend Tangerine Cafe in Morocco.

We were there in May on the dining plan and while the bakery in Norway would allow any of the pastries for a snack credit the bakery in France would only allow water/soda for snack credits. You could use a CS credit there, but not a snack credit for pastries. Has it changed recently?

We just got back on Tuesday of this week. As someone else noted, France only allows a snack credit for a regular drink, not for any of their pastries. The best place we used our snack credits at Epcot was at Seasons food court in the Land pavilion in Future World. DH and I both got fruit tulips (just a wonderful fruit tart really) and the kids got cookies and worms in dirt, each for a snack credit. The food court there also has a bunch of side dishes like cold salads and fresh fruits that can be purchased with a snack credit. And, everything is really, really good there--it was my favorite CS meal of the week.

I had the rotisserie chicken on flatbread and my husband had the chicken ceasar salad. Both were very good, and the other food we saw other people eating looked great as well. We had dessert with our meal that time (I had chocolate mousse cake, he the fruit tulip, the kids chocolate chip cookies) and then returned another day for an afternoon snack where we both had fruit tulips and the kids had a combination of cookies and worms in dirt. The food is much more upscale than most CS places in WDW and certainly a good deal with the DDP. Our bill at lunch for the 5 of us came to over $50! I'm not sure how late it's open in the evening, but it would make a good dinner too.

Last year we were able to get two desserts and one drink for a CS credit at Everything Pop. Not the best use of the plan $ wise, but it sure did make my kids happy!

Not sure if it will work now, or elsewhere, but it never hurts to ask.

I am not sure what or how much food your looking for, but we were there the first week in July and we used snack credits for a pretty large bag of pretzels at Mouse Gears. They were really good and not over filling with the heat.

The CS options on the Land pavillion offer the most bang for your buck for CS options. A drink, sandwich combo, and a heaping dessert would count as a substantial snack in my opinion. I bet most of the CS meals, any combination, at the Land could easily feed 3 people, maybe 4, for a snack.

I'm still annoyed at my DH for not wanting to eat at Seasons on our last trip. We ended up having burgers at Elec. Umbrella.

Don't give in! or at least go over to WS for lunch. Elec.Umb. was okay but I can have a hamburger anytime.
