Firstly we have never used the DP before but I am really looking forward to it.

We will be int he World during Food and wine:

1. can we use snack credits during food and wine at the little stands?
2. Is it the best use of the dinning credits.

thanks
angie

1) Can't say "yes" because they don't announce it ahead of time and things can always change, but I think since 2008 you could use snack credits for everything at all the kiosks except alcohol.

2) Depends. If you're going to use them on all high-end kiosk offerings (the ones that cost $5-$7.50) then they might be. It will be difficult if not impossible to get that kind of value out of snack credits anywhere else.

We have used our snack credits for at least twice at F&W.

I felt that it was worth it because, price aside, it was something different. The prices, as previously stated, vary greatly. We found some things we really enjoyed (Grand Mariner Float) and some that we didn't (escargot).

I hope you enjoy snacking around the wordl!!

I used mine last year.

I think totally it's worth it. I had 6 snack credits and by the time I was done using them, I was stuffed. I didn't have breakfast or lunch that day.

Just to clarify for the OP, anything with alcohol (like the Grand Mariner slushie from France) will NOT qualify for a DDP snack credit. As TDC Nala said, historically they've allowed snack credits to be used for the non-alcoholic items at the F&W. My family usually starts with a $4 break point.

We used the snack credits Oct 2011 at F&W. Best use of snack credits we even came across. We got Lobster rolls, Thai beef selection among other items. You will need to check the snack listing for the F&W but a nice way to use the snacks. Have fun at the Food & Wine

Can anyone give me a bit of an idea about portion sizes? I am not sure if I will need to plan for meals while we are visiting the F & W or if we will be too full. Would 4-5 samples be as filling as a counter service meal?

We too went in Oct. 2011 and used many of our SC on Food at F&WF. This year since we are getting half as many SC as last year we will pay more attention to the cost of the "bites".

Some items like the Lobster Roll at $7.25 are a great use of a SC but the trio of desserts at $3.75 (or one for $1.50) not so good.

$3.75 or 1 SC for these or you could get 1 for $1.50 or 1 SC.
