Smoothie Recipes?

Picked up a smoothie maker today - DH has been wanting one forever and today they had a great sale on them. Anyway I'm looking for healthy, yummy recipes. Anyone have some to share with me?

1 cup of milk or yogurt
1 small banana or 1/2 large
1/2 cup strawberries
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. honey
ice

I have never used a smoothie maker, but I do use this in my blender, but I am sure it is adaptable.

Are you looking for healthy recipes or just recipes? My DH take a can of pears, with the juice and then about 10 frozen strawberries. If he's reall spunky he throws in a few tablespoons of Gediva dark chocolate ice cream. He lives on these smoothies.

Hi gshoemate! I'm looking for healthy recipes with nutritional information as I'm on an "eating sensibly" plan and count calories!
Your recipe sounds yummy tiggerlover! I think I could figure out the calories on that one! Thanks!

I've had the blue monkey smoothie yesterday and the strawberry dream smoothie today. They are both yummy. I have them for lunch. Very filling and good for you.

I came across another smoothie recipe in a magazine and thought of this thread.

2 cups frozen banana slices
1-1/2 cup frozen, unsweetened strawberries
1 cup ruby red grapefruit juice
1 cup orange juice

It sounded yummy so I thought I would share.

I do mine in a blender as well....my favorite *recipe* is:

1 container Dannon lite & fit Orange Mango yogurt (90cal)
1/2 cup pineapple in it's own juice (60 cal)
1 scoop vanilla protein powder (125 cal)
8-10 ounces chopped ice (0 cal!)

puree until smooth.....counts as 5 points on WW....pineapple is sweet enough that I don't need to add extra sweetener...it has no fat, and the protein is great after a workout!
