Has anyone tried "Smooth Away"? I don't want to waste the $ if it doesn't work. There is a coupon in today's paper for $1 off.

I bought it, but I really don't like it. It does work, however it takes a lot of time and effort to get the hair off--especially if you have coarse hair. Shaving is MUCH faster.

My DD said her friend used it on her arms and now her hair is growing in weird (not exactly sure what that means). DD's friend also said it takes a long time to use. I'd save my money and not buy it.

Our local news channel did a "Try it before you buy it" segment on this and had 3 different woman doing the reviews. All 3 said they wouldn't buy it. Their reasons were--didn't work and took a lot of work to get it to work along with results lasted as long as shaving so they had to repeat the process in a short period of time.

I think it is too time consuming, but you get a really smooth shave and I think it lasts longer than regular shaving.

I liked it. I have fine hair, so maybe that's why it didn't take a long time- a little bit longer than shaving. I also used the facial one on my upper lip and it worked well there, without irritation. However, may underarms were a little more difficult, it was difficult to manuever the pad around there. I will keep using it, it was worth the little extra time and expense. I bought it mainly for the upper lip hair, I don't like waxing.

I like it. It doesn't work for really long hair but if you have a few spots you missed I think it's fine. Kind of like a touch up. I also loved it for my upper lip and in between my eyebrows to get those fine hairs that are so hard to get with tweezers. I'd buy it for the upperlip and eyebrow hairs alone.

What stores have you seen this in?

I've looked for it a bit, but haven't seen it anywhere.

It is in the CVS ad for tomorrow. The price is 9.99 ao I think it is the facial hair one.

Bed, Bath and Beyond carries them. Plus you can use a coupon!
I want to try it on my forearms.

Karen

It's junk. It is like sanding the hair and the top layer of skin off.

Didn't work thirty years ago when my mom bought it, and I can't see any indication that it's been 'reformulated' in all that time - only repackaged :teeth:
