Are there designated areas for smoking at Fort Wilderness?

Are people allowed to smoke at their campsites?

I found this on Allears.net:

As of June 1, 2007, all Disney resorts and guest rooms are now smoke free. At Fort Wilderness, you can smoke at your campsite and on the porch of your Fort Wilderness Cabin. You cannot smoke inside the cabins. There are designated outdoor smoking areas in the "public" areas of the resort. Check the resort map or with a Cast Member for locations.

:scratchin If they have "pet loops" I wish they would have "smoking loops" too. I hate cigarette smoke, and I especially hate cigarette butt litter! Can I expect cigarette butts on the ground at my campsite?

Nope, because even if the previous camper left some at your campsite, the Fort crew will clean your campsite and your grill and there will be no trash including butts at your campsite when you arrive.

(After every guest checks out, they go to each campsite and pick up the trash, hose down the driveway, and blow and rake the sand area, and clean out the grill.)

Oh, good deal! Thanks :flower3:

Just don't smoke when you are sharing someone's site in order for your kids to ride their bikes.

I called directly to the Fort and asked this same question. The CM I spoke to honestly did not know the answer. I asked again at check-in and they told me you could smoke at your site no problem. I consider myself a considerate smoker and I didn't smoke anywhere I wasn't allowed. :littleangel: I won't throw my butts on the ground. Also I had one of those cup holder ashtrays for the golf cart. Hope this helps.

:rotfl2: :lmao:

I was wondering who would be the first to bring up the best. thread. evah.

I will also need to park my car at your site and I don't want to pay much. By the way, does anybody have any DVC points about to expire that I can buy for 5 cents on the dollar? I talk to horses.

DON'T SMOKE!!!! it stunts your growth....didnt mom tell you that!!!:rotfl2:

For the record, I don't smoke :littleangel: I asked the question because I want to avoid cigarette smoke.

Campfire smoke = good. Cigarette smoke = ick.
