Smoking rooms at SSR??

My Mom is a smoker and just reserved a studio at SSR. Her last trip she was down in the Paddock and happily puffed away all the live long day. Since she is an old broad and doesn't get around as well as she used to, I was wondering if there are any smoking rooms in the Springs or Congress Park area.

Yes, to my knowledge, all areas at SSR will have some smoking "optional" villas. If you are making requests though, it would be best to emphasize the desire for a "smoking optional" villa rather than a specific area of the resort.

Considering the biasis of these boards as of late in regards to this issue - if she's "an old broad" and you want to stay at SSR...why not just "put her out to pasture"?

LOL, I thought we were putting her out to pasture since we will be at BWV at the same time enjoying our Smoke-Free Villa! Because of our ongoing family battle about the smoking, it became apparent in the late nineties that she would need her own points because I am a b**** and won't allow her to smoke on my balcony. Since she bought, there have been lots of changes to the smoking policy and she finds it more & more difficult to find a smoking villa and they are usually in less than desirable areas of the the resorts. I usually have no sympathy about it, but as she gets older and a little more rickety, I do worry when she is at the outer reaches of the large resorts.

Thanks Doc, we will add an area request to her reservation, but will leave Smoking as the primary request as always.

Just wanted to throw in my 2 cents.

We had our first stay at SSR in December. We had requested a studio (smoking too). We had a lovely room located at Congress Park and had a beautiful view of DTD.

Just put in a request for (1) smoking and then (2) Congress Park.

Maybe you could encase her in plastic when she smokes. That way she won't be bothering anyone out on the blacony.

It may also help with your plan of putting her "out to pasture."
