My family has traveled to NYC and eaten at the one there and we LOVE it.

I can honestly say everything we have had from fish to steak to the desserts have been fabulous along with the incredibly helpful and accommodating wait staff.

It is a tad bit costly but you know it is well worth it because the meals are so good. We have never been disappointed. I believe there is one in Chicago and my DH first ate at that one and LOVED it so when we traveled to NYC we tried that and have been many many times.

On a scale probably easily a 9. We also love MORTON's and CAPITAL GRILLE.

I did not give it a 10 because the one in NYC the tables tend to be very close and it does get a bit loud in the restaurant.

It depends on what you are used to and where you are from!! We lived in Chicago from two years and went to the steakhouses there. Our fav is Harry Karry's. So when we went to S&W in NYC we were dissapointed. We rated it 5 on a scale of 1-10. But we have been spoiled. I'd saw compared to the mainstream steak houses it's probably more of a 8 or so.
