So we went to a timeshare presentation and were told we'd receive a two night stay and tix for a water park for a family of 4 at a hotel as a thank you, etc. Anyway, turns out there an activation form to fill out through "smart travel and incentives" and you need to send it in with $75 which is a "refundable deposit". So I went on BBB to ck on the company and there was a lot of complaints about how no rooms or flights were ever available when you go to book it, etc. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this company? I am very skeptical at this point and thinking that I will probably end up throwing away $75 bucks if I send it in. Thoughts?

Go with your gut. They don't really want to give people those perks, so they make it hard. And not entirely free. They just want you to listen to the timeshare spiel, which you already did. Don't invest any more of you - time or money.

Run. Fast. I haven't used that company, but did try it with another, and I ended up giving them $150 and have nothing to show for it.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping that some one had actually had an experience with them but I am thinking that you guys are right.
Bummer.

One other thing you will find out is that a full week on either side of every major (federal) holiday is blocked out.

1) Never heard of 'Smart Travel" company.
2) However, we have used give-away travel incentives.
. . . awards for safety suggestions made by employees
. . . awards for productivity suggestions made by employees
. . . thank-you gifts to our vendors
3) We bought packages from Capital Marketing.
. . . 2-3-4 night hotel stay packages with golf or water parks
. . . 3-4-5 night cruises
. . . hotels at over 120 within U.S.A., cruises were Caribbean
. . . you provided transportation to destination or port (but not always)
. . . a $50-$125 registration fee for the total traveler family group
4) They were OUTSTANDING.
5) Yes, our employees and vendors thought it was a gimmick or "con".
6) But, it was for real and a great value and great incentive.

NOTE: The cost to the company was really cheap for the vacation gift
value. These were Just one of the awards we gave to spark employee
and vendor participation in safety and cost reduction.
