Smaller Summer Shorts for me! (all comments welcome)

Well the last day before weigh in. Gonna make it a good one! I have had a really good week even with being sick. I still made better choices than I have in the past.

Breakfast:
1 egg - 2
2 slices of bacon -2
1 slice of homemade bread - 3 ( I bake all our bread)

Total points: 7

Lunch:
1 slice of homemade bread - 3
Turkey 2 oz - 2
mayo - 1

Total points; 6 points


Dinner:
meatloaf - 7 points
baked potato - 3 points
Green beans - 0 points

Total points: 10


Snacks:
cinnamon ice cream - 3 points (this is so good and a little sure goes a long way in taste

Total used for the day: 26/31 and 2/35 used of Flex
 
Isn't it funny how our family always tries to say thngs to make us feel better the way we are?? It's like they're affraid to agree with us when we say that we're fat orthat we need to loose weight. I know they mean well, but that doesn't make it right. It's great that your dad was trying to make you feel better, but I'm glad you used it to motivate you in the right way.
I'm glad to see you sticking with your points. I hope you'll be feeling well soon. Like Chris said, don't let it get you down when you start eating normally again. Keep up the good work and best of luck on your weigh in tomorrow.
 
All in all it was a good week. I did not always get in all my points. Most days I did and I ate at least 20 points each day. I have been sick and the weather was bad so I did not walk like I wanted to.

I hope to start working out next week. I know that will help with the weight loss. I would like to sign up for the water aerobics class starting in Jan. Which is held 2 days a week. I have to see if I can come up with the money for it.

I lost 10 pounds! Yes that is correct 10 pounds. I could not believe it. That is such great motivation to keep up with the plan!

Nope not kidding weighed myself said I would take 3 out of the 4. All 4 were the same. I even made DS get on the scale since we pretty much know what he weighs. So the scale is correct. LOVE that scale this week. Only 120 more to go! I know that it will not always be 10 pounds ..and some weeks maybe 0 or a plus but this week it is 10 pounds. So I am going to be very happy with my 10 pounds and think about it all week long! :rotfl: :teeth:
 
Went out to Denny's with my parents. Now I love this place and the pancakes are to die for. I ordered the Lumberjack which came with: eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, toast and pancakes! YUMMY!

Breakfast: (Denny's) -- Total guessing points here!

I gave my bacon to DS and brought the rest of the stuff I did not eat home. I was fine after what I ate. This way DS can have the other stuff for breakfast. I am still not feeling good so eating it not my favorite thing. And come on after losing 10 pounds in one week -- do you honestly think I am going to stuff myself with all those calories and fat. NOT NOT NOT!


Lunch:
Ham - 3

Chocolate: 4 points (and it was not good. So I won't be eating that again!)

Doesn't that loss just motivate you even more? I 've always found that every decrease on the scale (even as little as 1/2 a pound) makes me try even harder. I'm so proud of you and happy for you. As you can see from my journal for today...eating out can be hard. I think it depends on where you go. Some places have better options for healthy eating and some have none at all. I hope you are able to start exercising this week. It really does make a difference. I think I need to listen to myself on that one too....I've been trying to get my butt back on that treadmill for 4 days. Well, lets see how we do tomorrow. Good luck to you.

I am another one who calculates WW points. I have a link to a site that lists point values for a ton of restaurant menus. I'm not sure if I can put it here, but I'll be glad to send it to you in a pm if you like.

I hope you are feeling better soon. It seems like everyone around here has been dealing with some sort of cold, me included. No fun!!
 
Yes lucky me I am still sick. I swear I was up all night coughing. Darn cold pills lied they did not stop my cough. But it is now a dry cough! I think that might be better. Anyways enough whinning over the cold.... it is getting so old. :rotfl:

Sorry to hear that you're still sick. Try to keep your chin up. I have no advice on getting better sooner. I usually just suffer until it goes away. Just keep sticking with the diet. When I first got sick before Thanksgiving I just ate what I wanted when I wanted it. I hope that you can get walking soon. It's tough when it's so cold out. I have asthma (very, very little, but still there) and it's hard for me to walk in the cold air. Not that I like being banished to the basement either. At least you'll get some exercise cleaning today. Good luck and keep up the good work.
 
Thanks for checking on me. I am sicker than I thought. Called the Doctor cause I can not even lay down with out coughing and choking. She gave me some antibontics (sp) and I should be feeling better I hope within hte next week.

I need to journal. Did not for the last day and half. Not good!
 
Sorry to hear that. At least you're now on the road to recovery. Hope you'll be up to exercising soon.
 
You poor thing!! Get well wishes are heading your way! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: We are all sick here, too! This Iowa snow and cold weather is hard to adjust to (we just moved here from S.C. and this is our first winter :cold: ). Take your medicine like you are supposed to and get plenty of rest! :goodvibes Anyone remember me? I stopped journaling for awhile due to illness. I was so sick and then the holidays and everything.

Good news is I got back on track about 3 weeks ago. I did not even gain any weight during my "vacation"

So now I am doing something new. Counting calories and working out. I joined sparkpeople.com so far so good.

Tomorrow I weigh in and should be down a total of about 7 pounds.

Lost 3 pounds this week! :cool1: Total lost 7.5 pounds.

I know longer do WW. I think it is a great program but I was not doing it anymore or had any thrill in doing it. So a friend told me about Sparkpeople.com and I have been hooked ever since. I am now counting calories and working out.

Glad to be back and hope to find some of my old pals here.
