Well I'm going against the jury here and say that I have a Ford Explorer Sport, which is the smaller SUV like the new Escapes, fully loaded and I absolutely DISLIKE it!!!! It isn't that it runs poorly or anything, it is a 2001 with 47,000 miles on it. The ride is bumpy, when the wind blows it practically blows me off the road and it handles the famous pot holes here in Vermont awful.

So I disagree, being an owner of a SUV I won't purchase another. I am currently looking into purchasing a new car. There is nothing like the smooth, quick, quiet ride of a car IMO.

All I can say is do a thorough test drive before you make your decision. I was "star struck" with the fact is was a 4WD and a SUV when in fact my entire family can't wait to be back in a car.

I just got my 2005 Ford Escape 2 weeks ago and I Absolutely Love it.It handles and drives so well.I had a 2003 Ford Expedition and I dont miss it at all.
