Watching my DD sleep. Even at 15 my heart melts when I watch her sleep.
I second this, however my DD is 3.
We moved in June, and spent the better part of summer being lazy and not enforcing bedtime, letting her sleep with us, letting her watch "one more show," and allowing her to go to bed well past what she should.
We just started back on a bedtime routine this week, a routine we used to do,a nd that she was used to, and amazingly we haven;t had a single issue. She goes to sleep in her room, and has stayed in her bed ALL NIGHT. Even last night I heard her wake up int he middle of the night, and she was in the hall, but grabbed my hand and walked back into her room, where I sang her a few songs, rubbed her back, and she was back asleep.
Anyway, the nights I have put her to bed this week (switching with the hubster) with our new routine, I have noticed how beautiful it is just to watch the process of her falling asleep. I am so glad she did not inherit my night owl tendacies. It takes me over an hour to fall asleep, once I am lying there in bed, but for her, after our bedtime stories, she will close her eyes, roll over, and within 15 mins she is out. I am amazed.
