Small Kitchen Appliance Help...

Good Morning to you all...

I am in the final stages of completing a 5 year renovation on my kitchen/dining room, don't ask why it took 5 years just thank the good Lord I am still here to enjoy it.

I have already purchased my fridge, range and microwave but now am looking for some small appliances and cookware, and since it has been 25 years since I have purchased any of them and I don't have a clue. I don't have to have the "most expensive" but I do want something that will last, as you can see I tend to keep things forever if they are working. I love to cook and bake so I usually cook everyday, if that is a consideration to my purchase.

So with that said, I would gladly appreciate any help, imput, reviews, etc. on the following:

toaster oven, coffee maker, single cup coffee maker, bread machine, cookware (like all clad, calaphon, etc.) baking dishes (corell, le creuset, Giada@Target, etc.)



I am also in the market for a new vacum, again mine is a 25 year old Rainbow. I only have two rooms with carpet and the rest are hard wood, and since my daugher has moved back home we have her two dogs and cat and I am keeping my son's two cats so I need one with "pet power". Also, what about the little carpet style sweepers that are out there for quick pick ups?

I do appreciate your time in reading and I am most appreciative in your help and imput. Everyone out there has such good ideas and information.

I just purchased a Cuisinart toaster-oven that has a convection feature. I was able to get it online from Sears, but I went shopping first. It is the first toaster-oven I have ever owned, I really like it so far.
If you have a subscription to Consumer Reports, or can access them through your local public library--they do cover small appliances, dishware, even various groceries!

I don't have a review on those specific items for you, but wanted to recommend Kohls as a place to purchase small appliances & cookware. They carry many major brands & almost always have a sale on them, plus additional % off coupons (coupon codes can often be found here on the Budget Board -you can use the codes to order online). I've gotten all of my small appliances from toaster ovens to coffee makers to crock pots there, and just replaced all my Bakers Secret 20-year old bakeware with a new set of Wilton, from Kohls, all 40% off in-store plus the additional 30% off coupon.

They do sell vacuum cleaners as well, and you can use the same % off codes on those too. I would go to www.kohls.com & check the selection & prices.

I'd highly recommend Technique pots and pans from QVC. You will not find a better value and they are garaunteed for life. I'd also recommend QVC for bakeware, yet again the Technique line and Temptations stoneware.

As far as small appliances, I wouldn't be able to make good recommendations. I usually buy whatevers cheapest. If my kitchen could accommodate a large toaster oven I'd definetely put out the money for a convection oven.

I have had analon pans from Bed Bath and Beyond for 4 years now, absolutely adore them. I abuse them regularly, and they are taking the abuse well. I can't say I would ever buy anything else

Check Amazon - they have many product reviews and great prices on cookware and small appliances. Depending on where you live, you won't have to pay sales tax either and you have the option of free shipping (if you are a Prime member or the item is eligible for free shipping).

I highly recommend Kitchenaid for any small appliances. I've had my stand mixer for 15 years and never had a problem with it. We've had our food processor for probably 10 years - we broke the lid on it and are looking to get a replacement, but we use it probably 4-5 times a week. We bought a cheap blender, and I hate it! Wish I had just sprung for a good one.

Our bread machine is West Bend America's Best, and I also highly recommend it! I think the only place you can get them now is on ebay. West Bend still has replacement parts. I got a second one from ebay for $12. We've had our first one for 13 years and only had to replace the belt twice. We use it a lot - nearly everyday.
