I am considering buying the small Holmes Odor Grabber Air Cleaner and bringing it on our upcoming cruise. Especially with an inside SPR cabin. This is available at our KMart for around $19.99. It measures only 8 1/2 inches at the biggest. So, I could probably manage to fit it in our luggage... it comes with a special filter, which is also like charcoal activated or something?

Before I waste the packing space, and the 20 bucks.... Has anyone ever used this, or anything similar? Would it really help?

I know I have tried posting this before. I hope that it is okay to try again. I know that there are many other cruisers who have similar thoughts about not-so-nice odors, respiratory concerns like allergies, etc...

Thanks!

Why not do what the old miners used to do? Bring along a parakeet and leave it in the bathroom. If it's alive when you need to make use of the facilities, you'll know the air is safe. If the parakeet is in bird heaven, you may want to use the public facilities after you lob in a couple of pounds of potpourri...
