small fanny pack for small kids

I have been reading this site for awhile and have learned alot of valuable information and therefore I needed to pass this little piece of info on. I have three children 9, 5, and 4. We have bought the coleman kids fanny packs for all our kids and when I went to put them on the strap was WAY too big for all three kids. My two older kids are boys and we will adjust the straps with safety pins to make them work, but the pack was still too big for our 4 year old daughter to carry around. We just concluded that she would not need one, BUT THEN I FOUND AN AMAZING FIND!!!

She will throw a fit if she does not have what the boys have.

We stopped at Fleet Farm ( WE ARE FROM MN AND I DO NOT KNOW WHERE OTHER STORES ARE LOCATED), BUT I found a small fanny pack made by Fisher Price that is just perfect for my small 4 year old daughter. The strap is made for toddlers/preschoolers and fits her perfect. There is a small zipped pouch that will fit some of her prized possessions and treats. There is also a water bottle with an insulated holder to keep the bottle cool. I know in the florida heat that this will come in handy and now my daughter will have her own small fanny pack and feel just as special as her brothers.

Like I stated I found it at Fleet Farm, but it is made by fisher price so therefore it should be sold in other stores and possible on the internet somewhere.

Hopes this helps others that have small, skinny children that want there own fanny pack.

I found a blue flower fanny pack for my DD (small sized 6 year old) at the GAP store.
It very simple - one pocket in front with a zipper to store some goodies.

We'll have to carry her water bottle, camera and autograph book.
But hey, I don't want to over burden a small child with items to carry.

I found a Goofy pin to attach to it - gives it a Disney flare.


Fo my 9 year old DS - I found a red/blue/black fanny pack with a Mickey face on it
for him. It was only $5 on sale.

The Fisher-Price kid's fanny pack IS very nice and suitable for the kids. My DD was 3-1/2 when she used hers and she's very petite!

Lovemy3kids, funny you mention that about the Coleman kids' fanny packs - I thought they looked too big when I considered them while at Target. I'm glad I didn't buy one.

We actually have a couple of fanny packs that came from Gymboree a few years ago (found on clearance). They're perfect for the kids, although, I haven't seen any at Gymboree in quite a while.

I haven't check this out myself, but I've thought about looking at ToysRUs or KidsRUs, too.
