Small budget/electric saver...microfiber sheets

I found microfiber sheet sets at Ross today for $8.99/twin.

I was able to dry 4 sets of twin sheets in 10 minutes!

My usual jersey type (or flannel in winter) took around 40 minutes.

I'm sure this will add up as a small savings on our electric bill...at 2 loads a week, that's 4 hours less drying a month.

So that is my "little things that add up" budget tip

(I can't hang things outside. I do use a drying rack inside for clothes and small things, but no room for large stuff like sheets & blankets...)

I haven't heard of these before...but my SIL was telling me about "quick dry" towels. Would these be similar? They had a sale on the towels at JCPenneys last week, but I didn't have the funds at the time. We go through so many towels in our house, it would be great to save $$ drying them. Because of allergies, we can't hang anything out to dry

Buy just one to try it out. You don't want to buy a whole slew of them on sale only to find out that they don't dry your hands all that well. In the case of quick dry sheets, to find out whether you feel sweaty in bed compared with "regular" sheets.

Winter is almost over but for those of you who live in colder climates, air drying laundry inside the house puts needed moisture in the air to reduce dry throats and sinuses, etc. which in turn are easier to catch colds with.

Don't shake your hands hard over the sink, you might hit the faucet and boy does that hurt.
