Small Amount Gift Cards?

I give them to my kids (one of the few things I still need to get), I give them Cold Stone, Tutti Melon (froyo), and this year I'm going to give DD13 Chick Fil A :)

My favorite one for small denominations is Target. You can use the GC at the Starbucks in the store and even if you don't like target, you can use for toilet paper or other necessities or fun stuff like movies and makeup.

Another one where $5 might go a long way is Wal-Mart but that tends to be a bit more hit or miss with folks.

Fast food restaurants and other eateries like Panera

ice cream or frozen yogurt places

I have done Dunkin, Starbucks and Wawa (convenience store) in the past, but I think I may do Target this year. I need to finish this list of smaller gifts for teachers/bus drivers/etc tonight!

For small amounts, Target is always practical no matter who you give it to. Also, Panera Bread is good because they have lots of different meal and dessert option. Starbucks may be a bit over done, but I'm sure the person will use it if they are a coffee drinker.

Has anyone given the Redbox cards? I think that would be a cute gift packaged with some popcorn and candy boxes.

Last year we gave Redbox gift cards to our son's six middle school teachers for teacher appreciation week. You go online to www.redbox.com and click onto gift cards. You can buy five 1-day rentals for $6, ten for $12, etc. You select the amount you want to purchase. You can pick the card design and enter in the to and from information. You can then enter in the recipient's email address and redbox will email the card with the redbox codes on them. We chose to purchase twenty 1-day rentals for $20. We sent the gift to our email address. Then we printed out six "gift cards" on white cardstock paper with three redbox codes for each teacher. I'll try to attach pictures...we copied a blank image of the redbox "gift card" from the redbox website and pasted into Microsoft Word. We typed in the To and From names and underneath typed "Redbox Gift Promo Codes:" followed by three of the promo codes. On the back we copied and pasted the "How do I use my Redbox Gifts?" information. We also added a small note that indicated you may only use one Redbox Gift promo code per rental transaction. No expiration date. We bought some red and white popcorn gift bags from Party City and added one package of microwave popcorn and two boxes of candy (usually $1 each at the grocery store). We added some yellow shredded crinkle paper (got it at the $1 store) to the top and put the gift card on top. They turned out really cute and we didn't spend a lot of money. We actually had two redbox codes left over. It's really simple to use...add your movie, click add promo code, enter the promo code. It does make you swipe a credit card (if you keep the rental past 1 day you will be charged for the extra days).

I have bought my DS $5 gift cards to different fast food places. Even if it didnt cover the whole meal, he will only have to put less than a dollar with it:goodvibes

^ All of the above suggestions are great.:thumbsup2

Plus, if any are for kids - DOLLAR TREE (if you have that store there)... Kids love that place!!
