Slow responses from vrbo

Has anyone had a hard time getting responses from the home owners on vrbo? I have used it several times in the past and always had a plethera of responses within two days of contacting the owners. I have contacted so many home owners, and have probably only had about 10 responses over the course of a week. We are looking to go in late April...do you think I'm looking too early and they're just not in a hurry to respond?

I can't even remember who I sent emails to! :confused3
 
What's your home email address ISP on? If it's AOL, Comcast, or Hotmail, then there's a good chance they emailed you and your spam filter is just rejecting their emails. We send people emails all the time on those ISPs and they tell us they never received them, it's kind of a bummer for us.

AOL basically just trashes the email if it thinks it's spam, it doesn't even dump it in your "spam" folder, it's just gone forever!

Being that many of the replies may have "VRBO" in the reply subject line, this may be what's happening.

Usually homeowners are pretty resposive, I'd think something else is up besides that many people not responding to you, just a hunch!
 
We're on Wide Open West...I've had it for a while though and haven't had trouble in the past. I really don't know!

Check your junk mail / spam folders, etc. Naperville? :cool2:

It's pretty unusual not to get very many responses back, I would tend to agree with you.

You could try again and use a different email account, such as hotmail, gmail, yahoo, get a free one, just takes a few mins to sign up for one.

We get inquiries sometimes (happens quite often actually) where someone gives us a bad email address, then it bounces back to us, and there's little to nothing we can do to contact the guest. I'm sure these people wonder why they never heard from us and think we're being non-responsive!! We try though, but if the mail doesn't work or bounces back, well nothing else we can do. If they leave us a phone # we will always try and call though, but most don't for some strange reason.
