im going to buy a slow cooker for the winter ;) what size should i get ( to feed 4/5) and any reccomendations !

cheers :)

I recently bought one from Tesco as it was only £12.67 (I think they've gone up to £16 ish now). It's 3.5 litres and is more than big enough for 4 of us. I've only used it at weekends so far as I haven't the nerve to leave it switched on while I'm at work! (I don't like leaving things on and I will even unlug the fridge/freezer before going on holiday!)

Approaching winter last year I bought a slow cooker;) it's in the cupboard at the mo but will be coming out again soon - I loved it.

It is a Morphy richards 3.5L and it's big enough to feed 4/5. It was around £30 from Amazon but it is stainless steel so looks good on the worktop too ;)

It's great for a family life when you need meals at different times in the evening (richard comes in late) but don't want to cook three different meals:thumbsup2

Asda at Fosse park had lots of slow cookers for £7. think they were 3litre ones :)
was debating if i want one, not sure how much id use it. :confused3
My husbands going near there tomorrow so can get me one if i change my mind :)

I use mine a lot, and nearly always leave it on while we are out, never ad a problem yet. I've also got an emailable recipe book for slow cooker recipes that somone on the DIBB sent me a while ago so just PM me if anyone would like a copy emailed to them.
