My favorite is bacon-wrapped sirloin cooked by my DH on his grill that has hickory wood. OMG...pure heaven!

It it's a proper steakhouse, or we cooked it at home and I can vouch for the freshness/quality of the steak, I prefer it rare. Otherwise medium rare is fine.

Cooked more than medium is a waste of a good steak, imo.

If I order Steak at restaurants I say cook it medium. If I cook it at home my steak turn out Medium rare.

It depends on the steak--- medium/well to well done if thin, medium to medium well if it is like filet mignon.

Hmmm, I haven't had a steak wrapped in bacon since 1966 and that was in The Phillipines. Funny how I remember that like it was yesterday, but can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday...

Let's see... Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon, served with french fries on a sizzling platter and a cold San Miguel beer... 9 pesos, I believe. I would get 77 pesos for $20 back then. Ah, for the good old days...

Now I'll have to wrap my next steak in bacon...
