I had it as a youngster, and it’s ok. Haven’t bought it ever, and DH doesn’t like it.

The name alone is disgusting. Never tried; I don't know what its made out of, don't even want to know.

The name clearly spells it out, the worst liver, period. One of the rare instances of truth in advertising.

As I live Germany, I eat this. Mine doesn't look like yours. Yours looks rather, gross.[no offence my friend!] What we have here is tasty.

LOL. My daughter lives in Germany and brought some back for me. It was different for sure. First of all, it came in a glass jar. It comes kind of as a tube here, either in a plastic wrapper as a tube, or sliced in plastic. I found the Germany to be much fattier, but that may have to be the fact it was jarred. Seemed to be produced to last a long time, where most of the liverwurst here seems to be designed to eat immediately. It was more like a fresh meat product.

Love it but I never get it because it is salty. About twice a year I would buy 6 slices, some American cheese and Frenchs yellow mustard along with a poppyseed roll from Shoprite and thoroughly enjoy my treat.

I LOVE liverwurst sandwiches with onions and mustard. Only indulge once in a while.
