I'm generally more of an optimist, but I picked it's different every day because the level of optimism probably varies quite a bit. And then I'll have a day every once in awhile where nothing is going right and I'll get pretty pessimistic. Today is great though, 100% optimism today!!

I picked 80% pessimist.....maybe would be 60 % pessimist, but if being honest with myself, 80% probably right.
Although, I"m always hoping I'll stop being like that, and do endeavor many days to try and not be....so that's some optimism.....
ETA I missed the option for realist, I consider more of a realist, but idk. I'll stick with my answer.
I missed realist option so put 80% pessimistic. My husband is as optimistic as they come, drives me nuts sometimes. I find I’m less disappointed this way. Most of our kids are very optimistic, very positive.

I would have to say I am a realist for the most part. I also follow “Plan for the worst, hope for the best.” I try to see all sides of an issue and all the potential outcomes, both good and bad. I probably look like a pessimist to the optimists, and like an optimist to the pessimists.

When interacting with others, I do usually emphasize positive outcome possibilities over negative ones whenever I can.

Add me to the pessimist list. I would rather expect a bad outcome and be pleasantly surprised when things work out!

I am definitely an optimistic person. My doctor has had me take 8 happiness tests starting when I was 21, including at the peak of cancer treatment. He believes happiness and optimism are something you are born with and are a part of your genes. He said if they can figure out what it is that causes people like me to be happy and optimistic even at the worst of times he thinks they can cure depression. I willingly do the testing hoping it may help someone in the future.

I am mostly an optimistic person because I know that when all is said and done, everything will be good.

I tend to view things in a negative way for the most part. Trying hard to reverse that.

I think I'm more pragmatic than optimistic/pessimistic. I try to weigh the sides of a situation, give folks the benefit of the doubt when possible, but recognize that not everything is always wonderful.

I would say that I am 50/50..... others seem to think I am an optimist completely. However internally I am going back and forth all the time.

I tend to view things in a negative way for the most part. Trying hard to reverse that.
r.e. bold-- Same here regarding *viewing* but I *expect the negative to prevail AND PREPARE for that outcome.* End results have been I am correct and ready thus no surprise OR pleasantly surprised because I was totally or partially WRONG.
