My DD20 loves making cake pops, and when she’s home from school she always makes one or two batches. She does a really good job, and is always trying different recipes to try and make the perfect cake pop. I’m wondering today…..

Have you had cake pops?
If yes…..what is your opinion of them?
(multiple choice)

*Bonus for those that make cake pops.

For Me…..I like them when my DD20 makes them. I don’t like them enough for me to buy them at a bakery or a place like Starbucks.

I've had them once or twice, liked them, but not something I get all the time.

Never had them or heard of them but just by looking at your pic, I know my grandkids would love them!

I'm going to make them for my grandsons graduation party. I found a cake pop pan I bought a few years ago in the junk closet and ordered another one from Amazon. It will be my first time but I think it will be fun to try

I have had them love them and have made them - try not to do it very often as I like them a lot and don’t need to be eating them !!! 🤣🤣

I've had them once or twice at a baby shower or something, but yeah it's more of a grandkid thing around here.

Slo, care to share any of your DD recipes?

I've made them. I have the mold. DGD will probably be making some this summer when she is over.
They are okay. I would just as soon have a cupcake.

A couple of the local grocery stores carry them. It is what they give away to their "Rewards Card" members on their birthday.
Never ever thought about making them at home.

I've never had one. I know my granddaughter, Delaney, likes Starbucks ones.

I've seen them but never had one. I'm not interested in eating one, either. I prefer a cupcake or just a piece of cake.

Food on a stick--Isn't it just a problem waiting to happen??? I don't get the appeal, other than the visual.

The ones I’ve had don’t require a special pan - they’re not cake batter bakd into spheres. They are regular cake crumbled and squished together with icing, then rolled into balls something like a truffle.

I actually do prefer just cake balls. I will get a cake-pop at Disney sometimes.

I like them and I have made them several times. The ones I like best are very truffle-like in consistency (I've had some that are really dry). I do feel they're a pain, but I will do them if I'm making a larger cake that requires sculpting. The sculpting scraps and leftover frosting/filling are excellent pop materials. In general, I prefer baking/decorating projects that's one big cohesive structure, so things like pops, cupcakes, and decorative sugar cookies aren't my first go-to for sugary crafting. I will say that my favorite ones that I made were blueberry cheesecake cake, coated in white chocolate and dipped in graham cracker crumbs.

I've had them. I think they're just okay. My sister makes them for parties and showers. I'm not a big cake person, so I don't buy them from anywhere, but will eat one or two of the ones my sister makes because I sort of have to.
