slo’s TUESDAY 3/25 poll - Atomic Cake

The grocery store that I mainly shop at just expanded their bakery and they are selling Atomic Cakes now (they didn’t in the past). Every time I go to the deli, they are sitting there, waiting to be purchased. If they had zero calories, or if I didn’t gain weight as easily as I do, I’d be buying one - they are so yummy looking. For those that don’t know what an atomic cake is…..

For Me……I do love a big piece of atomic cake. Atomic cake is not my favorite cake, but I do enjoy it when it’s available for me to have a piece

I'd never heard of it. I would try it though. It looks & sounds kind of like an English trifle, but in cake form.

Never heard of it and from the description and the picture, no I wouldn't want to try it. Looks/sounds too sweet for me.

I haven't heard of atomic cake either, and I live in the Chicago suburbs. It isn't something I would buy if I did find it.

I've never heard of it. I do like chocolate and strawberry, but I'm not generally a fan of banana. - If it was the dessert someone served, I'd try a small piece. If it was on a buffet, I'd likely choose something else. I wouldn't buy a whole one just to try it.

Never heard of it until now and definitely not something I've seen at our stores. I like the concept though and might consider my own variation at home. Of course, I am trying to get myself back in shape and having something like this around is probably the last thing I need. So, it'll probably remain just an idea in my head for some time.

Never heard of it. Honestly, I wouldn't eat it if purchased at the grocery store. I suspect the fillings are all instant, canned, or cheap. I might make something like this at home, with fresh fillings, but probably not. Too much going on there for me to really enjoy, I think.

Never heard of it, but a big no to bananas. Is it one of those things you can modify with different fillings or does it have to be specific? I might try a banana free version.
