A few months ago I took my staff out for lunch but that's a real rarity. I can count on one hand the amount of times I've been out for lunch in the past year. We all generally work through lunch, whether in the office or out in the field. I do get together with friends fairly frequently (most recently two weeks ago) but it's almost always for breakfast on a Saturday morning. I probably won't do that again until the New Year though because the Christmas season is so hectic for everyone.

Being retired I prefer lunch dates to dinner out, so once a month I will meet some friends for lunch.

Tuesday before Thanksgiving DD was home so we ran errands & Did lunch Downtown, A week before that my Bestie & partner in Crime did a fab Martini lunch. This Friday a friend and I are heading to our favorite Deli before doing some quick shopping for a party.

Sounds fun! My DH is now past retirement-age but is still employed full-time. Most of his closest guy friends are retired and he really misses being part of a lot of things they do together during the day. I feel bad for him.

I have lunch a few times a year with a former neighbor. We were more regular about scheduling them before Covid, but gave gotten together a few times since then. We also do dinners and include our husbands.

I also have lunch a few times a year with my godmother who was my mother’s cousin and closest friend.

I answered more than 6 months ago, but forgot that I did have lunch with my daughter after Thanksgiving when she was home from college. I was supposed to have lunch with my girlfriend this past weekend, the first time since before Covid, but I came down with a cold and had to postpone.
