Today, in my Facebook memories, I watched a video I posted, of us buying a ginormous cotton candy for DD21 (she was 18 then) at a candy store in downtown Chicago. The store made the cotton candy whatever colors you wanted as they were spinning it - when it w as done it was 6 different colors. It was fun and expensive - LOL! I love cotton candy, so I was more than happy to help her eat it . So I started wondering how many of you enjoy cotton candy. Give us your sweet and sticky answer today……

Do you eat cotton candy?
If yes…..what is your opinion of it?
(multiple choice)

For Me……As I mentioned above, I do love cotton candy, but only when it’s freshly made, not the stuff you can buy at the store. I have bought the premade stuff for my girls Easter baskets in the past, and none of us liked it well enough for me to buy again. I normally don’t buy a cotton candy just for me - I would probably get a headache if I ate all that sugary goodness by myself. I do like to share it, so I’ll buy it when I’m with DD21, because DH isn’t the biggest fan of cotton candy.

I don't eat it, but as far as the taste goes I like it. I am just out of the habit of eating stuff like that in general, so it is nothing specific against it. I like the taste of it, but my biggest complaint is how it is sticky and messy.

Even when I was a kid I hated it. :crazy2:
An overly sweet, sticky mess. Blech.
I’m more of a savoury person.

I've always loved cotton candy. But I do tend to avoid it, because it isn't very healthy. ;) My granddaughter knew about my love for cotton candy and bought me some when we were at a Cubs baseball game. I ended up eating it all, too. :)

I too love cotton candy but of course it has to be just the way I want it 😉.
Freshly made, “swoopy” (yeah, that’s the perfect descriptive adjective!) and fully dissolved.
Don’t want it if it’s been sitting around in a plastic bag weeping it’s useful life away.

It’s probably one of the least bad for you fair foods, about 250 calories, and it takes a while to eat (at least for me, I’m not a fast eater). It’s like a fluffy lollipop, no health benefits but better than a funnel cake.

I like it, but I can’t remember when I last ate some. If I was with some friends that had one, I would take a piece if offered.

As a child, it was like watching a science experiment so that made it appealing. But I could never eat more than a handful. I have no desire to eat it again.

I used to like it and be mesmerized watching them make it at carnivals, Riverview, etc. I liked it when they made it while you waited, still warm when they gave it to you. Now, the pre-made plastic bags of it, not really.
My wife only likes cotton candy when it’s freshly made like that, not the plastic wrapped bags. But it’s kind of rare to find it anymore. I’ll sometimes take a bite or two.

When I was five or six, my mean father refused to buy me cotton candy at a Baltimore Orioles game. I’m not sure if I ever got over it. ;)

I love it, but only freshly made.... Even then I only eat it every 1-2 years. It is so sticky and bad for you. I also prefer pink or blue.

I love cotton candy, I actually had some this week.

Went to Mandarin restaurant here that makes it and has it just as you go out the door or by their dessert buffet. It’s not that big just the right size.
